I had a very dark brown mish-mash of furniture in my bedroom. I painted all the matching pieces white, they were cherry, but wanted a contrast on this other dresser since this wasn't the same style. I was told no sanding would be needed. I cleaned the dresser, applied about 3-4 coats, and then finished with the wax. This looks gorgeous! Great coverage, easy to apply. I had this piece completed and back in my bedroom in the same day.

Very easy to apply , I did 2 coats. Very smooth and not goopy or streaky at all ! I just ordered a different color to redo a glider chair, love this ! Dries quick also.

I was a little nervous before it dried but once it did it had a beautiful finish. Product is thin and I needed two layers but very happy with the finish. 8 ounce can went a long way.

Be warned, this “paint” is very runny. With that said it does take a couple of coats to get a deep rich color. I had to recently retouch due to my live of wild animals and it had a bubbly look. Maybe it’s due to the wax that had been applied previously. Still not a dealbreaker for me.

Love that the color is true to the listing. Not as thick as typical chalk paint so it took 4 coats (including a coat of primer). Dried fast and evenly.

I was in between this and two other paints. Glad I chose this one! It's super black and kind of doesn't look like chalk paint but flat or a matte black. I love it. I got brave and painted an IKEA TV console. Wasn't sure how it would turn out. But wow! Took a couple coats but the paint took to it really good. I used a small roller and a small corner brush. And the application couldn't have been anymore more perfect. It worked beautifully and happy how quick it dried. I'm so happy with it! I will be purchasing this again.

I am in love with chalk paint due to the aged look it produces and I purchased white and black chalk paint from other brand to paint 2 dressers, further mixing it to achieve the degrade grey: that paint was thick like marmelade, achieved great coverage in one coat (for black; white needed 3 layers) besides getting 1 litre for under 20 USD.This Shabby chic paint by contrast is simply terrible. I purchased white, black, silver and gold, each for just under 20 USD for 250ml - terrible value for money. Not only that:- the paint is like water (shake the can to hear how water thin it is if you are going to buy it)- the paint is at the bottom of the tin and even when shaking the tin many times, the paint was still very thin- this paint smells stronger than other brands of chalk paint I used.- I tried to use the silver paint to paint the lines on this dresser and I had to apply it so many times due to being so waterish; on black it looks a bit better but on the white side of the dresser if just terrible. The silver paint leaves some streaks and lines and when removing the tape to achieve the straight lines, some of the paint was taken with the tape. This never happened with other chalk paint brands. Reading the huge percentage of positive reviews, I conclude the Shabby Chic factory standards dropped.Thankfully the Amazon customer service was amazing due to our Prime membership.

It would be easier for me to list the things I HAVEN’T used this paint on.It's so wonderful, good looking and forgiving. Highly recommend!

Beautiful colour very satisfied

The antique champagne is so nice. Hopefully it can be seen in the photos how the paint *really* shines once applied.The paint is quick drying and almost scent free. Because I used quite thick splashes of paint it took a bit longer to dry but when I used the white base , that was touch dry in an hour and fully dry within 3 hours.I used this paint in combination with metallic pink grape over white chalk furniture paint on a 60+ year old pine blanket box.The paint is also very easy to clean up with accidental spillage and from the brushes. I only used water and it came off no bother.I’m pleased with how the paint worked and how my first attempt at furniture painting turned out.

Good value for your money and easy to use

Small tin but plenty for painting and restoring an old wooden chair. Looks great. Easy to apply though brush strokes show a bit.
