Great addition to the aliens universe
If you are a huge xenomorph/aliens franchise fan these books are a beautiful and complimentary addition to it. I was an 80's kid and the films were my favorites! These books keep the child-like spark of thrill and sci-fi fantasy alive. I suggest all of the omnibus as well as the stand alone books. I have damn near the entire collection and reread them often.

NASTY BUGS THEY ARE....
Hello, these were two really good stories. Both of them were well written and very entertaining to read. Who doesn't like to sit down with a good Alien book. Good stuff. Thanks.

Different but good take on the Alien Universe
I very much enjoyed both stories in the Omnibus volume 5 series they were well written. Though the second story by Diane Carey had an error. On page 7166 Corporal Edney, she is killed by the Aliens by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But on page 7189 her commander is holding her hand and they are running together up an incline. Oops!

Decent addition to the Alien universe
Original Sin-This story takes place after Alien Reaurrection. I really enjoyed reading about the survivors of that movie. While this story answered some questions from the first Alien movie the story was kind of flat. It also left more questions, which I hope eventually get answered. If you love Ripley definitely read it. Who doesn’t like Ripley, a total badass.DNA War-This story started slow, so slow I almost stopped reading. Once the crew landed on the planet things got pretty interesting. It diverges from the Alien universe that most people are used to. If you can get used to that then I recommend reading it. At one put around half in the story I couldn’t atop reading, it was very well paced.

not bad
Struggled with the first story as it follows on from Alien Resserection, but I really enjoyed the second one.

Two novels: a good one and a masterpiece!
Two very different novels. "Original Sin" is a direct sequel of the movie "Alien Resurrection", with the same characters (in fact, only Ripley and Call are really the leading characters); "DNA War" is a wonderful new story, a great novel from the author of a great number of Star Trek books. The first is a good novel, because there's Ripley, the second is a masterpiece!

If you like bad fanfiction this ones for you
Been a big fan of these Aliens omnibus books but this was truly disappointing. Of all the Aliens universe to play with why would anyone choose to resurrect Alien Resurection? There is a reason the movie was retconned out of existence. The second story was also dull and uninspiring. I’m pretty sure one of the previous omnibus’s already had a story about a mutant strain of Xenos emerging. Both stories felt like bad fanfiction and I regret the time and money wasted reading.

avoid, just avoid.
Been an Aliens fan for years and have really enjoyed the Omnibus volumes. The first novel continues the story of Aliens resurrection film and focuses more about "Ripley" clone and the crew of the "Betty" spaceship with Aliens being thrown into the mix. The second novel, while introducing a sense of mystery at the beginning, becomes boring halfway through the story.
