AC Infinity6" Backdraft Damper, One-Way Airflow Ducting Insert with Spring-Loaded Folding Blades for 6” Ducting in Range Hoods and Bathrooms Fans

Item was as described, was of good quality material and met expectations. Had some difficulty trimming it to size needed due to material being robust

After reading through dozens of reviews and product information, we first bought the AC Infinity Flexible 6-Inch Aluminum Ducting, Heavy-Duty Four-Layer Protection, 8-Feet Long for Heating Cooling Ventilation and Exhaust.It was packaged so well you could send it as a Christmas gift, the quality of the duct tubing was outstanding.Fast forward a week while we were installing the new stove exhaust fan, we realized we would need this flapper piece, as the old one was getting stuck.We were so impressed with the duct tubing that we purchased this product from AC as well, and were not disappointed. It is the Mercedes of exhaust flappers.This AC flapper was the exact size advertised at 5.79" width/diameter, which was just a smidgen smaller than most of the others advertised at 5.90" diameter.So instead of having to monkey around with it, it slipped perfectly inside the Vikio range hood 30" under cabinet kitchen hood with 980 CFM, 3 speed gesture sensing & touch control panel in stainless steel, vent hole on top the hood.A little larger it would not have worked, we are grateful the AC specs are perfect, it made the install a dream come true.I do agree with another review I read, in that the AC 6" ducting is a tight fit on their own product/flapper, although I got it to slip on, it was as tight as could be without being unworkable, but the bottom line is it went on. And it slipped over the existing 6" coupling tube to the roof perfectly.We will keep this company in mind when doing other projects, such as heating, vents, dryer etc, well worth the cost.Thank you

It is heavy and well made , it works perfectly for keeping intermittent forced air moving one way ..

This works quite well.Dampers work nicely. The only thing I don’t like is these do not fit into hard ducting well at all. I wanted to use this inline with solid ducting I already had installed. The ends don’t fit well in it at all. I have to cut the solid duct work back further and use flexible ducting to integrate the damper into my system. Other than that I’m happy with the quality and efficiency of this product

Sturdy and easy to install. It also does a good job keeping the cold air out and letting the fan vent when on.

I nearly didn't buy this based on reviews of it being crooked or not closing great. Mine is perfect!! I am so glad I bought it.. It's a great little inline fan and puts out lots of air.Thank you AC Infinity...!!!They also have GREAT customer service. At the same time I ordered this part, I had also ordered an inline fan and some of that duct tubing. Well, when I got the tubing, the 2 included clamps were not there. I contacted customer service and it went out the same day. That's amazing.

Keeps the hot from the outside from coming back to the inside. Fit like a glove to the AC infinity ducting.

Easy to install, just use good tape. The damper flaps work very well as advertised. Very sturdy. Depending on the size of your duct piping, it may mount inside, outside or edge to edge alignment. If using on metal duct pipe, use good aluminum duct tape. Very pleased with the product.
