A good place to start!
If you are new to calisthenics, this is a great book to start with. It is broken down into different levels, and as you progress and you get stronger, and you will very quickly, you will move into the next level and do more challenging exercises. This is great for those who travel for work and love out of hotels, that's why I bought this book.

A good start
I used to work out consistently, I have lost myself over the years so I bought this book hoping it would give me a good start. It is motivational for sure, but there are a few things in there that I don’t have access to, a bar to hang from, a suspension trainer, different level of boxes, a few other things that came up…the whole point of this book is to just use body weight without use of any equipment. We have a park behind our house that may work, however, I am not in the mood to have my neighborhood watch me struggle, I may find something different for those muscle groups. I was looking for something to warm me up for more intense training, even if this isn’t it it’s worth the purchase.

minimal equipment required
Basic bodyweight fitness exercises - terrific diagrams and explanations. The book presumes you have access to a chin up bar - bar, not handles."Oh, that's no problem," you say to yourself, "I will never do a chin up."Other exercises use the chin up bar, too.Very good stretches. Straightforward directions, good text.

Great book!
I've been following red delta project for a couple of years, and I really like the simple approach to getting and staying fit for a "normal" person, not an elite athlete (which the vast majority of us neither are or want to be). This book sums up the basics of how to start and keep going, and how to progress when you are ready.

Good book with levels to progress
I like it.. Has good info for beginners in the front then has diffrent levels to progress into which is exactly what I want! Just an FYI it has some excercises you would need to purchase a pull up bar and suspension handles that I will be skipping for now until I can purchase them.

Not for true beginners
Why do workout advisors always leave out warmups? Isn’t that one of the most important thing to do as of safety? Stretches and all that.

Solid and Informative Beginner Program
Calisthenics is a great alternative or supplement to stereotypical resistance and some cardiorespiratory training methods. The author starts with a good discussion on goal setting, an essential component of any program. This is a user - friendly, simple, and unintimidating presentation with an easy to follow format. Illustrations are very helpful. Exercises and progression levels are appropriate and provide a good foundation for advanced practice. I especially liked his important discussion on recovery, a subject often overlooked. I highly recommend for beginners.
