I used these to soften the light from the overhead LED cans that are so popular now....but are just way too harsh and bright even with dimmers - it's like living in a department store. I used two layers of these in the bedroom and one layer in the living room. Very happy with the result, the lighting is both warmer in quality and less bright. I found it tricky to cut perfect circles and apply them in precisely the right position to avoid overlaps & missed edges - be prepared to waste a few as it could take several attempts. I saw on the packaging that if you order direct from the website you can request the shapes/sizes you need. Wish this was mentioned in the product description!

The overhead lights in our office were way too bright and distracting. These light dims reduced the glare and brightness to a much more tolerable level. A great alternative to hring an electrician to put in dimmers!

This product did the job for me. My under cabinet lights were way too bright. After putting on the LightDims they are definitely softer. Very easy to install. I just measured the width of the light strips, cut the LightDim material into strips, removed the paper backing and placed the strips right over the light. The strips can be removed if you need to redo them.

I bought this to dim the glare from a bright light. It dimmed, but it looks hideous and at $20 I could have just bought a roll of white Contact paper. Self stick and glossy white. A waste of my time and money.

Works exactly as described. Cut to size, peel off the backing, stick it on the LED. Created a slightly warmer tone, which is what I wanted (close to 2700K if you know) and reduced the light output by quite a bit... also as intended. The film looks like a piece of white paper and you think "how can this work???"... but it really does.

I've used this company's products in the past for LED indicator lights of digital gear that I wanted to block and they get the job done, but these are the first I've used for actual LED light fixtures (ceiling) and I couldn't be more pleased. Our new ceiling fixtures are light temp adjustable which is great and I have them set to their warmest Kelvin temps which is also good except when fully dimmed. When fully dimmed, the LED's color temps shift back up the Kelvin scale to a bluer, harsher, colder hue. The Light Dims, which are super easy to apply, did the job, warming the fully dimmed hue to a much more pleasing, incandescent-like glow. In addition, they further improved and warmed the light output at brighter settings too. Outstanding!

The product does provide an effective dimming of the harshness of LED lights. However, the adhesive is very sticky, so you need to be very exact in how you place it onto the light; you may be able to slightly adjust before smoothing it in place, but that's it. My LED lights in the hallway were somewhat curved (concave) and it was impossible to place the product smoothly onto that surface. I ended up piecing the product onto it, creating a mosaic effect. This worked fine since I didn't need these lights entirely covered.

This is exactly what I needed for my spot lights. The lights seemed too bright and white when I wanted a softer accent. The application is easy and straight forward, fingered crossed they last awhile. 1 star deducted due to the return, I purchased more than I needed and the seller wants half the cost of the product to ship back. I may suck it up and keep extra sheets just in case

Ho aperto da poco uno studio di Pilates. I faretti led a soffitto che avevo fatto montare (37W ognuno) avevano il difetto di "accecare" i clienti quando facevano esercizi stando sdraiati supini. Questo prodotto semplice da applicare, mi ha risolto il problema (e mi ha fatto risparmiare molti soldi). Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che cercano un modo efficiente per attenuare delle luci troppo forti.

Great product. Detailed instructions. Product worked well to dim the reading lights on my kids beds. I used 3 layers of light dims, and the reading lights have now reduced the light output to a very manageable level for night time reading and changed the colour to a nice warm white rather than the stark white light. Would definitely purchase again. Thanks so much!

Used on covering a ceiling light above the basement steps. The LED is far to bright.
