Hard to believe that it is THIS good!
Our family has a saying "if we wash the dishes really well before putting them in the dishwasher, they'll come out clean". So true. Everything was always rinsed and scrubbed before going in. Then liquid detergent was added and the dishwasher run.I just could not get our ten year-old dishwasher to perform well. I eventually watched YouTube videos and took apart the insides of our dishwasher. I disassembled everything to determine why it wasn't cleaning well. Twice. Put it all back together. Filters were cleaned, arms all moved, checked where the spray was going, checked the inside of the water conduits. Nothing helped, all seemed ok. So, it was time to buy a new dishwasher. I gave up and went shopping. While checking prices, features, and ratings on dishwashers, this thread popped up. I thought "no way". But for this much money, why not try it? It's a lot less money and hassle than buying a new dishwasher. So keep shopping for a dishwasher but throw in an order for this. When the product arrived, I quickly tried it on half of a load of dishes, expecting no good result. Maybe I could use the product with the new dishwasher later, whatever. Opened the dishwasher. Everything was sparkling clean! I think my jaw dropped. Even the "test knives" I'd put in covered with margarine were perfect. Huh?! That had certainly never happened before!Had to be a fluke. I still didn't believe it. So, enforcing a "scrape don't rinse" rule, over the next day or so we loaded up the dishwasher again with VERY dirty dishes. Got several disapproving looks from my wife. Promised to take it all out, rinse/wash everything, and put it back if this didn't work. Plus, it was hard to break our old habit of washing the dishes first so that they'd come out clean. These had dried on foods, cake, eggs, more margarine, etc. Along with her, I'm also thinking that there's no way this will work.I have to admit that this morning I expected the dishes to at least be somewhat dirty when I opened the dishwasher. This was really pushing the limits in a machine that hadn't cleaned well in years. Opened it and - the plates, cups, wine glasses, and utensils were all perfect. In fact, better than they've ever looked (some things are clean that had been stained for years). Coffee stains came out of coffee cups that I would've have to work very hard with a scrubber to remove.I am blown away. If your dishwasher isn't cleaning well, and you use liquid detergent but can't find a physical reason, this might be worth trying. Even as I'm writing this I still can't quite believe it.What a GREAT product!

A Few Tips To Help Make Your Dishwasher & Soap Work Better For You........
I bought these Finish Dishwasher Tabs (8X, All In 1, Fresh Scent) via Subscribe and Save. After the added savings, averaging 11 cents each, makes for an excellent value on the box of 90.I used to work for an appliance retailer where we recommended and often used Finish dish tabs. The best cleaning (but more expensive) are made by Miele and aren't sold in most grocery stores. Finish tabs are the next best thing. The red center is rinse aid which helps dishes dry better (especially necessary and helpful if you have a dishwasher with a stainless steel tub). Each of the layers dissolve at different times during the wash cycles and help get everything clean. If you find your glasses covered with white spots, it's not the detergent's fault (well, not exactly). Newer dishwashers clean better so the trick is that you need to leave some of the sauces on your dishes. Scrape off the hard foods but leave on the ketchup, gravy, etc...Reason being, the soap needs something to do. If you pre-rinse everything (like in the old days when dishwashers didn't clean as well), the soap has nothing to do and you'll end up with soap residue on your glassware and silverware. Stop pre-rinsing for cleaner dishes- really.Another tip, if you're washing a light load that's not super dirty... We cut these tabs in half and they clean just as well. Kitchen shears cut them but usually one half falls apart. I throw the broken pieces into the dishwasher (works just as well) and use the second half next load. We only use full tabs when we have a heavy load that needs more detergent. You can see what works best with your appliance. If your dishwasher was built in the last 20 years or so, all of the above probably applies to you. Some of the more inexpensive models (often in apartments) don't have built-in hot water heaters. You can try running your sink water until hot, just before starting the dishwasher and that'll help it get up to temperature faster and cleaning better.Recommended. Smile. Hope this is helpful!
