I absolutely love it! Just one question, please answer truthfully
looked a little bit closer at the description, pictures, some of the questions, etc…and I noticed this particular mixfx 12, with a description saying “view newer model” and it was bundled with a couple of xlr cables and a magnetic cell phone mount, the first mixfx 12 was already shipped, so I figured I’d just send it back, and be quite happy with the “newer model”.Only problem is I cannot see the difference between the newer model and the first model of the mixfx 12!Was I hoodwinked?

Why is this being sold as a Mackie device?
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I'll be back to.give an honest review of the mixer, once I've done some serious recording with it.This review is more so something for potential buyers to consider: it says Mackie, but Mackie is nowhere to be found on its packaging or the item itself ? I'm sure many of you eyeing this device is doing so largely because it's being pushed as a Mackie product, but buyer beware!

Excellent Small Mixer
Mackie, Yamaha and some others have some serious competition from some low-cost mixing boards from China right now. Unless you absolutely must have 8-12 mic preamps for south of $150, stick with this one. It's built like a Mackie and has some good, usable inboard effects. Plenty of inputs for my purposes. I was briefly baffled by the lack of an effects return input for outside components, but the downloadable manual cleared that up. It's not covered in the quick start manual.

It works
Works as advertised. I’m using it to drive a PA powered speaker with four mics and a keyboard. Good effects. Compact size but easy access to controls. All controls do what they’re supposed to do. Sounds great. No power switch is strange. Old design with RCA connectors to tape, no LCD display, but the basic functions are up to date. Overall great value.
