WatchFire 10” Black Camping/Survival Axe-Head Hatchet with Nylon Sheath (210921)

I bought this axe for light usage around a campfire. I like its design and light weight. Its best use is making kindling, shaving flat surfaces to prepare for carving and meat cutting. It comes sharp from the factory, but I have honed it to a finer edge. It holds its edge surprisingly well, and I have found it quite versatile within a range of uses.

must buy if you need to.....well do anything....plus it fits onto your belt with the sheath included....your going to have to sharpen but who cares when this thing is as balanced and comfortable in the hand plus concealable. not very weighty or comber some either... must have if your looking for reliability plus light on the wallet and not looking to find out the item you bought is a piece of crap...this is worth it and recommend it in every bag and car/truck!

Really good hatchet! I love how its all black color, the size is makes it portable, the handle is sturdy, and its pretty sharp too. I still give it 5 stars, even when the pouch/holder it came with, worked for a while. Because since it was so sharp, it started cutting out the bottom and the threading came undone. I am planning to fix this by maybe attaching a leather strap where the sharp edge rests on the pouch

I bought this hatchet to take with me on short camps and hikes, and it hasn't let me down yet. The sheath is poor quality and comes apart fairly easly, but have fixed that with some super glue around the seams. Blade comes a lil dull, but sharpened up nice after running it through a sharpener a few times. Hatchet is short and light weight, comfortable to wear around waist line. Good for chopping small to medium size wood, and can take the hits, even if you have to hit it from behind to split tougher pieces of wood.

I bought this to chop up blue fish for shark chum and that's worked out fine. the blade is sharp out of the package and holds an edge nicely. the handle is ergonomic and feels right in my hand. the light weight is a plus for fish chopping, but I had to cut down a few hedges over the week end and the lack of heft really showed up. The absence of anything substantial behind the blade made it a longer and more difficult chore than it would otherwise have been, but again you know going in you're trading weight for convenience of not having to lug a bigger heavier tool. all in all good for what it is.

Awesome small ax. Handle is great. Weight is heavy and chopped my real yard 1/4"- 3/8" thick branches from weed that was growing into a tree. All the branches took one chop. I couldn't believe how well it chopped it down. I was done in 15 min. I normally use an electrical cutter. This was so much easier. I have no doubt this will work on light branches in the field. If anything, it works great for landscape maintenance and that along makes this tool worthy of purchase! Very sharp from manufacturer but I sharpened it even more after I wasfi iahed. Can't wait to see what else it does!!

I bought this to add to my "bug out bag". It's a perfect size and weight for such a need. Additionally, It's perfect for camping and other such outdoor occasions. The solid steel material is a huge plus, and the shaped, rubber handle fits my hand perfectly. Ordered two of them (his & hers), and have NO regrets!!! Buy with confidence.

Good strong well built item. Compact and very sharp. Good for BOB bag. Very light weight. Great hatchet for trimming or small trees. Not good for larger pieces of wood because of being so light but that's the trade off such a good compact hatchet.
