With steel-rule construction, a Bigz die cleanly cuts thick materials, including cardstock, chipboard, fabric, foam, magnet, leather, metallic foil, paper and sandpaper (in limited use). its wider size offers you more design options. This die is designed for use only with the BIGkick, big shot and Vagabond machines and requires the use of one cutting pad and one crease pad.

Endless Use & Design Possibilities
This is such a fun die to have to create a plethora of fund drink cups such as the ones you get for coffee, lemonade, smoothies, etc. Since it comes with a choice of tops and a straw, the possibilities are endless by using a variety of paper solids or prints. It's also very versatile in the sense that it can possibly be used for any occasion card, by changing embellishments and sentiments. As with all Sizzix die cuts, it works on a variety of materials too. I highly recommend this die for every paper crafters die collection.

I really enjoy the Sizzix BigL dies, which this is. The cup, however, is certainly not 4x4; without the lid, the cup is 3" tall, 2" wide at the rim and 1-1/2" wide at the base. Since a coffee card, credit card or hotel key are all the same size [about 3-3/8" x 2-1/8"], you can see there is no possible way this cup die, even with the lid, can fit a gift card of any kind, which unfortunately for me, is exactly what I got it for, based on the "4x4" answer. I'll have to keep looking!

Cool die but needs more detail on description
I think this is a great idea but I wish the decription showed more of how it was going to be put together because I didn’t know how it would work with my plastic where I need the pieces to be together. Not apart.

Love this die ,it's what you come to expect from anything by Tim Holtz. Know lots of coffee drinkers, so it will be used over and over again. Seemed to take a long time to arrive but didn't realize it was coming from the USA
