FastCap Zero Clearance Tape, 5 Strips, 2" x 16", Made in USA

The clearance tape is fantastic quality, very thick and the adhesive is very very good. I have installed it yesterday but today I need to ensure the blade is true because I’ve also changed the blade to a fine wood blade because 99.9% that what I use it for , so then I’ll make the slit in it This will give me a more cleaner cut and knowing exactly t where the made cut is. It will also stop debris falling into the CM slot . Great quality , great price and wish I’d done it a long time ago. The strip in the packet are large , I had to cut to size so there is still a lot left on the strip, I think you get 5 per packet . Great value. The colour is yellow , impressed really

Used to replace the a broken mitre saw tray and also allow for zero clearance to be added. The fact you get five of these is perfect for people like me who screw up the first use. Really good adhesive on the tape and once afixed it remains in place sturdy enough to almost replace the need for a zero clearance insert although be aware of the limitations it’s not as sturdy as an insert.

Worked as described but was surprised when installing as the face spelched.

These are fantastic. I have an Evolution R225TBL+. Bought it with Evolutions own zero tolerance plate. The plastic inserts are so brittle they literally disintegrate, even with a fine tooth blade (see pic). Put this tape on, easy as anything and stuck real nicely first time and the cut is clean with zero tolerance as expected! Steps i followed: -Ensure blade alignment is 90° -Remove riving knife -Lower blade all the way -Put the tape on the plate -Put a piece of wood over the slot/tape and clamp it down to the table. This ensures the tape has no possibility of flexing/lifting when the blade approaches it. -Turn the saw on -Slowly bring the blade up It will cut through the tape and the thin piece of wood covering the slot. -Once fully extended, slower blade all the way back down. -Then turn off the saw. -Remove the wood, followed by the plate. -Using a ruler and a new sharp Stanley blade, align the rule with the cut on the tape and continue the cut all the way to the back of the plate. This now allows for the riving knife to be reattached and can raise through the tape as per the blade. I actually went back to the original Evolution plate before sticking this tape on as the zero clearance “upgrade” they sell actually has a wide opening to make way for their brittle plastic inserts. Made sense to go back to the original as its stronger and narrower.

Great product need to be careful when making the first cut because I was a little to aggressive and chipped the edge.
