ACTUAL REVIEW
Alright, first things first. You get exactly what you pay for when you buy this, so don’t be mad you got ‘ripped off’ if you don’t like it. I bought a used speaker because I was hesitant since it’s basically a prototype, and it’s been functioning just fine. Bass: obviously not good. Speakers are tiny and relatively cheap. Songs with lots of bass still sound good, though the bass is pretty sad. If you want bass buy JBL or Bose. However, I’d like to mention that that songs without heavy bass sound identical to my JBL and Bose speakers. Sound: speaker is loud when put together. Pretty impressive. However, when it is split apart the center one is noticeably louder than the smaller ones. This is not a complaint, as it is how it’s supposed to work. Just a heads up. I like to turn it around so it kinda levels the sound out, or put it further from the others. Functionality: speaker is magnetic and connect to each other through Bluetooth, so there are some natural errors. For whatever reason, I have had no issues with delayed connection that makes songs sound bad or glitchy, but have had issues with videos and movies, where one will be behind the rest. That said, they work flawlessly when connected to each other physically, and I’ve just connected them to kind of reset it for those situations. Keep in mind that although I listened carefully to identify these issues, they’re just part of software, and won’t be the same for everyone. Quality: quality is not top notch, but the design is very clean and modern. Logo is sick, and you get cool stickers :D. I think you get exactly what you pay for, as better connectivity or bass would just be a lot more expensive. Overall simple device that will bring the fun for a lot of different activities in the future. I give this a five star not only because the price is fair for the downfalls, but also because it’s literally one of a kind. For now… Enjoy your speaker!!!!!

Not worth the premium price
I usually don’t write reviews. When and if I do, it’s because an item is really good or really bad. For this review, these speakers are terrible. For $249.99, definitely not worth it. As I’m writing this review, it’s listed for $200, but even then, not worth it. I’m no audiophile, but I can tell great sound, to good sound, to decent sound, no poor sound...in the case did the Air Audio, the sound was like air, hence the name “Air Audio.” Bass was pretty much non existent. Treble seemed terribly high and unnatural. Given that the speakers detach and can be used as a 5 speaker setup, you would think the sound would be filling, especially if placed really close to you. I wasn’t even 3 feet away from the speakers, and it still sounded weak. I’m not usually harsh with my reviews, but I was very disappointed with the sound quality given then innovative design and quality packaging. Before deciding to buy it, I had looked at some reviews and it had good decent reviews. But I’m hoping you’ll take my review because I really felt I was ripped off given the premium price did not match the build quality and sound quality of a real premium speaker. I was so excited to try the speakers and really had high hopes, but it just sucks. I’m sorry, but for $200 or $249, you can get a much better sounding and better quality speaker. I have 2 UE Megaboom and 2 UE Boom 3 and 1 UE Wonderboom. As you tell, I’m a big fan of UE cause they just work and are appropriately priced. As I’m writing this review, the UE Wonderboom is priced at $92.80. At more than half the price as the Air Audio, the UE Wonderboom is better sounding than the Air Audio and I believe the overall quality is better. My overall take of the Air Audio, cheaply made and cheap sound. Not worth the premium price. At $200/$249, you might as well get the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 4 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker, which is currently priced at $199. Much better sounding and quality speaker. Sure, it may not be able to detach or have that innovative design, but the design is still elegant. I wouldn’t even spend more than $50 for this speaker. If you’re going to spend around $50, you might as well get the Sony SRS-XB13, currently priced at $58. My initial point - Yes innovative design, but poor execution in sound. It was so bad that I decided to return it after testing it out for 10 minutes. My final point - there are many better premium speakers out there that you can get within the same price point of the Audio Airs. Save yourself the headache in returning and disappoint - get yourself the UE Boom 3 or a Harman Kardon

Great idea but needs a little more thought
Needs more bass and to be a bit louder other than that great idea

A lot of leg work and not great sound.
The sound really isn’t great, battery life is not great, and, though you can break apart the speakers to create more of a surround sound (which is great while it lasts!), it’s really annoying how often I have to go collect all the pieces and put it back together just to turn the system on and have it sync up, and to charge it so frequently. Also, you can’t use each individual speaker as a Bluetooth device. Just the center hub.

Be gentle with the rubber seals between segments!
I've had this speaker for several months now. The surround sound is great, and this thing gets as loud as you really ever would need. The speakers are held together by magnets, and will only stack together if they are in the correct order. They can also stick to some metal surfaces. The sound quality is five-star. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Charging is somewhat problematic, especially if you damage any of the rubber seals that separate the segments. One of my seals broke off in the first week that I owned this, and now charging them as a stack often only works for half of the set-up. The only ways to get a consistent good charge now are to use 5 different cables or charge each segment individually. Sometimes, especially when powering segments up individually, there will be sync issues and the speakers will have an extreme echoing effect. Stacking them and using the main power button for all segments at once seems to fix this, but the main power button doesn't always "wake up" all of them. Gently pressing them together while you hold power on and off solves this most of the time. Battery life is good when stacked. When a segment has a low charge, it will beep, then shortly turn off. Sadly, the small segments don't have a very long battery life. If you're planning the use this as a multi-speaker for a room, you should definitely be ready to gather up all the pieces for charging and/or syncing every day

2 Years Old and Still Works Great
I bought this device a little over 2 years ago, so that I could have surround sound in my business. It plays 46 hours every week. It sounds as clear as the day I bought it. I would highly recommended. So much so, that I looked up my shopping history just so that I could leave this review. I am very impressed and thankful

Great concept - total let down.
I was so excited to use this around our pool for the last month, however I’ve been very disappointed. First - the speakers don’t connect (physically) seamlessly. I’m not sure if there is some kind of slight warping on one side, but they are very lightly connected and one side will literally fall off if you pick it up by the middle. Second, if I power on the middle, 5/10 times the side speakers will not power on which requires me to power each side on individually and then reconnect on Bluetooth - my wife and kids can’t and won’t even bother any more. Third - if I place these around my pool….which is NOT a n Olympic pool size….they often cut in and out. Finally, and a small annoyance but a total “come on mannnnn”…mini usb connection and not the modern usb C…. I’m very unhappy and do not recommend this product at all.

Working great so far
I own a piercing parlor and we use these in our shop. We're open 8 hours a day and so far they don't die all work day. Sound quality is great. Range could use a little work especially going thru walls and such but all in all very happy
