USB-C Ethernet hubs compared: Which is best?
I specialize in tech reviews and started utilizing devices with USB-C jacks a few years ago when Apple finally joined PCs in adopting USB-C. MacBooks and MacBook Airs went USB-C just a few years ago and the iPad Pros soon did, too. Apple makes it a bit challenging for us who own MacBook Airs and iPad Pros—just one connector and it is USB-C. Once crucial reason to get a hub is for those of us with just one port on our devices to be able to charge and still connect to other devices with the second Type-C connector.FOUR USB-C ETHERNET HUBS TESTED: ALL THE SAME?I have compared the Purefix, Victsing, Juice Systems and Accele hubs yet already had a boatload of Type-C hubs for various devices. But all four these also has an Ethernet port, a rarity. With everything wireless these days, you may ask, “Why bother with old fashioned Ethernet?” For serious gamers and bandwidth power users, it’s the least trouble prone connection possible. Can’t take a chance when competing live. This is all a bigger challenge recently as everyone is stuck at home due to Covid-19. Incredible strain on available bandwidth everywhere.JUICED SYSTEMS:This NovaHub is by far the most expensive hub tested with capabilities are in line with the Purefix and Victsing. It has a nifty USB-C ribbon cable that slides into a groove at the top of the hub.VICTSING:The Victsing is among the most solidly built. It is beautifully integrated into the Apple ecosystem in space grey color. It has all the jacks you could ever ask for except and SD card slot.PUREFIX:The Purefix is similar to the Victsing in capabilities. Along with the Victsing, it is impressively built and a real beauty in Apple friendly space grey. It’s a bit taller than the Victsing but not as wide. No SD card slot but otherwise near perfect.ACEELE:The Aceele is the only hub that accepts an SD card. It is well built and the heaviest of the hubs tested. I recommend it, especially if you need to transfer image files from an SD card.CONCLUSIONS:This type of hub won’t stop a frustrating bottleneck, but it’s great to know you have the option of the fastest possible connection. All have versatile features like HDMI and of course the ability to accommodate older USB-A jacks, too. Each can handle USB-C battery charging at fastest “Power Delivery” speed for Apple devices. Many hubs cannot do this so shop carefullyBy the way fellow Apple fans, expect lightning connectors to soon be a thing of the past, too. USB-C is conquering all.Hope this long review has been of some help. HAPPY DATA DELIVERY!

EdiIt: is not 100W It is 100W!!!!
I made a quick decision about this item. It seems that 45W Dell adapter is insufficient. This hub draws 15W and when attached I read 30W battery instead of 45W in the bios. Juiced Systems was kind enough to offer me a second hub, but it seems that I won't need it. The hub is not defective, since unless I attach my USB touch monitor to USB, Dell's battery stays at %100. Now I ordered a 65W battery to Amazon. It ist he only USB c type2 hub I could find, and it is good. (Dell xpx13 warned me that slow usb charger was connected. Then on restart I received the same message during POST. I really wanted this one to work since new Dell has only 2 usb c ports and I have a usb c external monitor. No more ports for other needs. Windows battery icon has a yellow triangle with exclamation. It shows as ac connected but not charging. On the contrary power level keeps dropping.)

Plugging in Hdmi bricked 3 of my devices
Totally worth all 5 stars if it didn't IMMEDIATELY BRICK MY PHONE WHEN I PLUG IN THE HDMI. Hdmi also BRICKS MY NINTENDO SWITCH.Everything else works great. Great speed and the only usbc dock with usb3.2 and a usb-c data port with power charging.

Gets VERY hot
Works as advertised. Charges my 2019 MBP at a good rate with original PSU. HDMI does 4k @ 60Hz RGB. When charging, it gets so hot you cannot touch it. Makes plugging in things very hard. Also, the cable on it is extremely short (3 inches) - Makes managing things plugged into it and plugging it into your machine a little annoying.

Connects at USB 3.0 speeds to the latest Dell XPS 13 on linux
I I am using it with the Ubuntu 20.04. The highest speeds I get with the hub are the USB 3.0 speeds. Without the hub when connected directly to Dell XPS 13 latest gen, I get 2-4x the speed than with the hub. False advertisement and no support - tried contacting the support web site and even the support web site does not work with the google Chrome browser on ubuntu. I am preparing to return it.

Works great
So far, works great. Using with 16" MacBook Pro. Get's a little warm in use, especially when passing MacBook power supply through unit but no issues so far. Big advantage is that the HDMI port supports 4K 60Hz unlike most of the other hubs which are only have 4K 30Hz support with USB-C 3.0.

Handles USB peripherals perfectly, but my LG 4K monitor only works at 30Hz, not 60Hz as advertised
PROS:—All-in-one design delivers on being a sort of Swiss army knife for all your port needs.—Works without any drivers.CONS:—The HDMI port only works at 30Hz, not 60Hz as advertised. This is with a 4K LG monitor.—The connecting cable is way too short. I know they were going for a foldable cord, but it needs to be about triple the length.

Overly cheap and cut corners
Only 30hz@4k not the 60hz as advertised. For me, stops working whenever power delivering USBC cable is disconnected.ct.d
