I don't know what I was expecting, how ever sitting on this cushion definitely feels different. The open square holes go all the way through creating a structural cushion. It is very different than sitting on a traditional foam cussion, but it does get the job done. It definitely reduces butt fatigue from sitting for extended periods of time. It stays put ok. If you wiggle around, it is going to get out of place. I tend to slide out of my seat as I have short legs so I always have to readjust it ever time I go to sit down again. I do feel that if it was a tiny bit thicker it would function better for receiving pressure points, but if it was thicker my height in my.chair would become a problem so...Over all I am quote happy with it and am glad I purchased it. It expect it will hold up very well and last me a long time. The quality is good.

The honeycomb is just as uncomfortable as my car seat. Disappointed. On plus side, it is non slip when getting into car and cover comes off for washing.

I’m currently suffering through a medical condition which requires me to spend the bulk of my time (~22 hrs/day) seated upright. Needless to say this is a recipe for pressure sores and tissue damage. While not a perfect or long-term solution this cushion is so far the best I’ve found short of $$ hospital air mattress systems. It’s effective and I have found it both comfortable and not as slippery-surfaced as some reviews implied. I suggest you do get a larger area than you might think, as positions shift over time. Surprisingly heavy in terms of weight.With this cushion I can generally remain seated for 8-10 hrs with a brief 10 minute period of standing every 30-40 minutes, as much to position myself slightly differently as for the period of movement and postural exercise.It’s not a magical cure-all or a solution for months/years, but we aren’t built to be seated upright for such long periods… after several weeks I’m very glad to have made the purchase and noticed existing sores healing vs getting worse. After a hopeful full recovery I intend this cushion or one like it to live on every office chair I use.

I have bought tons of these in the past (when they weren't rectangular shaped) and the gel was super super soft and I loved it. This new seat that they sell is much firmer and doesn't feel comfortable at all anymore especially when you have tail bone pain. I would not recommend it. I am returning it for a refund.

These are nice, bought them for the car seats for my 18lb dog to sit/lay on. She loves the feel of them and I guess it's supportive for her. I realized this when I had one in the house and she kept gravitating to sleeping in the chair that had one of them on the seats. She's now able to sit/lay on any of the car's seats, except the driver seat, and have the extra support for her aging body. Heavy and firm, with a nice washable cover. Put a blanket or towel over it too, and all is working out with these. Was skeptical, price was less than some others, seems decent enough to me!
