Vello 3.5" LCD Hood

Just a little small for the thick screen on my canon Vixia but it does work so I'm happy.

Quality product, the fit is tight on a Canon XA25 Viewfinder, but works. The hood blocks the sun and will work.

The backside (where the attaching velcro is) are stiff, so the LCD screen has to be VERY thin in order for this to fit. The screen on my Sony HXR-NX5U (which is actually 3.2" diagonally) is too thick for this hood to attach at all. If the back attaching side was not stiff, this probably would have worked. Hood also does not fold down flat, so it'd be cumbersome to carry. Quality seems good though, so one star for that.

FIts my (new) Panasonic AG-AC90 quite well. Needs to be broken-in a little so it isn't so stiff on the LCD side viewfinder, but it sure is a big plus in shading the viewfinder from bright lights or sun. Doesn't slip off. I've gotten comments from other shooters who have similar viewfinders w/o a hood, wondering where I found this.

There are products that perfectly fit the adage "you get what you pay for". This hood is one of those products. Are there inexpensive alternatives in the market? Certainly! Do they perform or hold up as well as the Vello? They do not! The Vello is an absolute best buy - I'd rather own ONE of these than blow through five others - the quality here is THAT good,

It does not fit a hf m30 video camera. Sits on an awkward angle when attached. Waste of time and money. Lost packaging, so could not return.

These are really well made hoods. I needed them for my Sony FS5s. I cut a small hole at the bottom of the hood to run the monitor cable. Fits great!

This is my second one of these. Not because the first messed up, but because I needed a second one for a second camera. Good product and functions as intended.

This is an useless product if you are going to use it for Canon C100 MK2I will not recommend anyone to buy this.The unit price is less than $22 and it will cost you around $42 to bring it to your doorstep.I think this is highway robbery , you guys are thieves.If the shade is functional , i might accept this cost , DIGEST it !!!

Excellent LCD hood, much better than Hoodman and high quality.
