Hunter Douglas Restring KIT 0.9mm Cord for Shades: Cellular, Honeycomb, Pleated, Roman. 1544

I panicked after my internal blind cord broke. After seeing what a repair would cost I decided to try it myself. I watched several different YouTube videos and found one that was easily understandable. Keep your laptop or tablet right there as you complete the repair. TAKE YOUR TIME and be patient!! My blinds work great!

I had a couple of strings break in my bedroom pleated shade. This Hunter Douglas Restring KIT 0.9mm Cord for Shades came in handy in repairing my shade. The directions were simple and was a cost effective remedy than replacing the entire pleated shade that would have cost me over $150 to $200.

The product itself is perfect I was anle to fix my broken blind with everything there and I'm happy there are extra supplies for future needs! I took off a start because my instructions were gaded like they had a copier with low ink. So I couldn't see the pictures. I had to do extra research on YouTube to make sure I was doing it right!

Worked great, it takes time for the first one but was much simpler than I expected. I had a second shade done in 1/4 that time. The parts seem at least equivalent quality to HD originals - which to be clear, are low quality to begin with. That's why you're here.You'll run out of new hardware well before you run out of cord. Hardware wise this kit will handle two 2-string shades of nearly any size, or 3 if you skip replacing a wire guide (or like me are doing a 2 string and a 3 string).

If you have hunter douglas shades ,you know that the strings occasionally break . I was paying $100 + to have them repaired by authorized dealer nearby . I researched online and discovered these repair kits and I have saved hundreds of dollars in repairs!! YouTube has many videos with excellent step by step instructions. I have repaired 6 of our 11 shades with perfect results every time . Highly recommend these kits !

The product comes with instructions, which seem to be for multiple products. So identifying your product's installation instructions is a little convoluted. And it's not plug and play. There are a few steps you need to figure out. That being said, I expected as much, so it's not a complaint, just a note. There are some great videos on YouTube of people showing how to perform each of the steps, if the instructions are difficult to understand. It took about 15 minutes to restring the cords while following the YouTube video. Not exceptionally difficult. Great package. I was able to use it to fix different problems on 2 different window shades.

This will save you the cost of buying new blinds. Over time the cord in the blinds stretches making the blind uneven. The internal parts also wear out. This kits is like getting new blinds.

I had to restring one of my HD blinds and this did the job. The online videos and written instructions were great and led me through the process. Since only one cord was broken I have a lot of leftover cord. I would imagine most restringing jobs have similar issues and there significant leftover cording. HD should supply some extra Equalizers so you could do added blinds as needed and should have provided the Tassel cord and Tassel with the set. Fortunately I had some Tassel cord and extra Tassels from another set so I could easily complete the task. It seems crazy to have spend $14.70 online for an equalizer or $13 for a cord set.
