Its good for saving money in the long run
I didnt notice any BIG difference in the suction of the vacuum i think id rather go with the cloth filters. This filter does a good job though at keeping debris out from the motor. Once half full suction power goes low because of the cloth the filter has its long as well so it takes up space

Perfect replacement piece
This is a great replacement for your Makita 18v vacuums! My model had a almost coffee filter under a hard case filter, it was not the best system. This replaces that and fits snug and is way easier to clean. Also go buy yourself the cyclone attachment, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Fits dcl181fzx
Even if you should buy a 198752-6 for the dcl181fzx vacuum this 199966-0 fits and does the job. It is more expensive, but if it is the only one you found, go for it. The 199966-0 has a plastic skeleton and the dcl181fzx vacuum has a plastic skeleton to receive a soft filter. So, you have two skeletons if you use this one.
