An absolute MUST READ for any creatives looking to further progress their career!
I heard about this book as Amazon recommended it based on my purchase of De Soto's other book 'Know Your Onions: Graphic Design' a few years ago. That book swiftly became my bible and still is today – if I need advice then it's my go-to book!The bloody great news is that this book is just as amazing! I've already made tonnes of bookmarks (see photo) and already started implementing some of the tips from the book into my own work. It's not a book filled to the brim with his own work or written just to boast, it's a well structured read that really delves into how to approach certain task/issues within the branding/corporate/visual identity world. The huge bonus is that it's not a dull read, and the book doesn't take itself too seriously as it's written in De Soto's casual and informative, yet light-hearted manner. It’s the kind of book you buy to actually learn something from, and it’s jam-packed with loads of helpful quick tips that actually have a positive impact on your own work.If you’re new to the industry and/or are even remotely worried about how to approach the mighty task of an identity project, then buy the book, then implement the ideas.Couldn't recommend this book more – it's a gem!

Really great guide to developing new company identities - for designers and the people who need them
This is a well presented, easy to read and get to grips with book.I started my working life, in a very limited way, doing graphic design and layout for small organisations. These days, I spend more time as a client working with start ups and therefore am in regular need of new corporate ids. This book has given me a lot of great ideas, the ability to better brief designers to get what I think we need and be a better client. Perhaps that's not the purpose of what the author put this together for, but it worked for me.Very worthwhile purchase.

Really insightful guide. Get yourself a copy!
Another great guide from the Know Your Onions series expertly delving into best practice on how to approach an identity project.This book thoroughly covers the ‘ins and outs’ behind delivering corporate identity and branding projects in a clear, insightful and very informative manner whilst still managing to not feel information heavy. The quick wit and running jokes make it a very easy read which is something you don’t find often with design and branding books. Much to be taken from this. Highly Recommended!

A thorough book with very little fluff... perfect for my needs!
I bought this book because I am looking to hire a design agency for a brand identity and I wanted to make sure I have some way of knowing if I’m getting a good deal.This book is thorough... I even got sucked in to some of the design aspects because it’s easy to read. You know... I might design my own logo now... probably not :)Great book, with very little fluff. Highly recommend!

Drew de Soto really does know his onions.....
He is a master teacher, and you should be thankful that someone with his skill and experience is willing to share it with you. Buy his books and learn more.

A smashing guide!
Fantastic guide to corporate identity and branding - it lays things out in a down to earth straight forward way that’s easy to get to grips with. It’s helped me to look at things with a fresh perspective and I’d highly recommend it to anyone either working in the field or just looking for a place to start when it comes to working out their own corporate identity.

The best book on corporate identity
This is the best book that here is out there for corporate identity. Simple easy to understand very clear very well written and is like a really good teacher best investment for any designer or marketer

Understand the Reviews
I now understand the reviews for this book, where readers were disappointed. I absolutely loved the first book in the series, but with the subsequent books like this one, much of the content has been rehashed from the first book.
