I no longer purchase this candle from Amazon because they now carry this line of candles(and this smell)at my local Publix grocery store, but when I did purchase from Amazon my candles always arrived perfectly fine. I am not sure of what packaging issue you mean but mine were always packaged well.

Yes. My candle was broken, and I recieved a refund, but the first thing I noticed when I opened the box was there was a strong smell of watermelon, so i was disappointed it was broken.

Q: how many hours does it burn?

I burn a black cherry candle after I make fish. It neutralizes any fish odor and makes the house smell great! I do not burn this candle every day.
