Where has this tool been all of my career?
If you frequently install cage nuts in racks, this is the tool you need. It grabs the nuts like a pair of pliers and squeezes them together so you can easily put them in the holes without breaking a nail or pinching your skin trying to do it by hand. A must-have for a network administrator/IT tech.

At first I was skeptical
But after using this handy little tool I'm a skeptic no longer. It works as intended. Makes installing and removing cage nuts a snap.

Works pretty good... not great.
So, if you install "cage nuts" a lot, this will make your job easier and save your fingers. I found that putting them in with the tabs going left/right was easier than up/down (if that makes sense).

Definitely one of those "Take my Money now" purchases
I have been installing and uninstalling cage nuts for better part of 25 years, and my fingers and hands have some not so great stories. I have used screw drivers, needle nose pliers, cage nut pull straps and insertion tools. Even with all of these, I have bleed enough over the years to most likely meet the needs of the local blood bank. This was a great find and they make things very easy (especially removal). Hell do like me and ask yourself why buy one when you can get two for twice the price!!!!! Worth every penny. Will see how it holds out over time (build seems to be good so not that worried), but will update if anything changes.

Makes life easy
It took me a few times to figure it out, but once I got the hang of it, I was throwing cage nuts into racks and saved a bunch of time.Easy to use, like nail clippers. It'll take you a few to get used to, but once you figure out a flow, you'll save time!

Works great when used with the correct cage nuts
Little did I know that not all cage nuts are the same. I bought a TECHTOO 4U wall rack from Amazon and a new piece of network gear from Ubiquiti. I of course tried first to use the cage nuts supplied by Ubiquiti but they just wouldn't go in the rack. So I tried the cage nuts supplied with the rack and they just popped straight in with this tool. All 16 nuts inserted in a matter of a couple of minutes! So, to the person who said the tool didn't work - "it might just be you were using the wrong cage nuts".Highly recommended.
