White One-Way Daytime Privacy Window Film (Inside applied, A4 sample)

Update Aug 2022 - Just realised I never mentioned that I did buy a full roll, enough for the one set of windows as mentioned below my windows are many windows in one ( cottage type). Much clearer view than with nets, so easy to apply and easy to cut - I did cut before applying but cut each piece a tiny bit bigger than needed to ensure no gaps and then used a very sharp knife to cut off excess, all done easily.So I am happy as are my dogs as much easier for them to look out. Full curtains will give privacy in the evening as already were doing with nets up. No worrying about mirror finish causing sun blindness as this room has full sun in the morning and a busy road outside so didn't want to take any chances of bright reflections, so glad I found what seems to be the only company that does non-mirror privacy window film here in the UK. Actually thinking of using this on the rest of the windows at the front and side of the house and so do away with nets and put blinds up instead - I don't like the look of blinds and nets and nets are a must on windows at those sides of house.I have so far only bought an A4 sample but it definitely is big enough to trial this film and found it works well and the light decrease is not too bad - obviously when I cover the full window (well windows as my windows are made up of many small basically A4 windows and why it works ok for me for a trial).I do plan to cover the windows with this but cannot decide if I should just pay the extra and buy enough A4 samples to cover them (if the company will sell me that many samples) rather than a roll and try and cut it to fit as they are long enough but 1cm to narrow but that would not let those outside see in.

I have a very large window so had to put up three pieces to cover it and if you don’t get it exactly right first time that’s it! There’s no room for error and you can’t take it off and correct it as it stretches. It looks ok outside but a mess inside with the joins.

I was very sceptical about how much light this window film would allow in as it was black on the inside. But I took a chance and put it on my window as I wanted to get a better view of the birds that were using my window feeder. I was amazed at how clear the view was through the film, and that it didn't block anywhere near as much light as I expected. I am very happy with it. The only thing I wasn't made aware of in the advert is that it uses a glue to stick it to the window. With my other privacy film I could use water to stick it to the window which made it easy to fix, and get all the air bubbles out. With glue this process is more difficult. I did manage to fix it on the window myself, but it did get creased easily, and it tears easily as well, so you have to be careful fitting it. It really is a 2 man job. But it does what I wanted it to, and I can now see the birds clearly, and they cannot see me. So we are all happy :) The instructions do not tell you how to remove it once it is fixed, if you want to replace it.

Have used various kinds of sun screens, privacy screens in past properties. I've used the external wet applied variant of this before, this had to go on the inside and is dry applied. All work perfectly and I am very happy with the result and product quality.Delivery was bad, I had to chase the seller to chase the shipper (Hermes). Delivery was after the expected delivery time when I purchased on amazon. Of course when I chased the seller, the delivery came, so they had the pleasure of replying that the delivery had been completed, lucky. Dropping a star for delivery.

Had been doing lots of searches for a window film that wasn't reflective and didn't massively block the view from the interior. Found this eventually from Contra vision which had been developed for a house where they needed to avoid bird strikes as well as being in keeping with the building - so no mirror finish.I ordered the A4 test piece as a just in case, worked great - easy to stick on & take off (the test piece is reusable, given it to friends to try out). Its a large enough piece to tell if you are happy with the effect or not. Then ordered a piece to use on the lower kitchen window. Very happy with the result, you can't see in through the window during daytime but can see out. Have done some tests and unless you're wearing very bright clothing (the test was using an orange t shirt) and the person looking in is a metre or so away from the window you wouldn't easily be seen. The manufacturers do stress that, on a night, you would need eg a blind for privacy and couldn't rely on just the film, as any back light would mean you could be seen from the exterior. It was easy to fit using the air bubble smoother they provided and instructions. The only down side is I would really like another piece for a bigger window but the ready made sizes on sale don't work with the dimensions.

I used this for the lower half of my windows which were in a shared garden.It gave me my privacy and I could still see out.It was easy to install and looked white from the outside. It also stays on the window just wipe clean with a damp cloth then dry.Really pleased with this film I have had two orders of this film now. Thank you

So the smoke was great and this really does do the job without the wide bot mirror affect.However, it is essentially a fine chain mail like plastic film and it is impossible to put on any sizeable area without getting creases in the material, which either won’t scrape out or the scraper just breaks the plastic leaving some holes and lines in the product.So not worth bothering. I consider myself reasonably good at DIY, but I would challenge anyone to put this on a patio style 67cm glass pane without it looking rubbish.

I like it but from outside it looks as depicted in advert but I changed my mind I think I prefer the reflection option so I’ll use this for something else…….
