I bought this product to reduce the appearance of acne scars. It did the job! I also noticed after using this product my skin became softer and tighter (mind you I am only 20 years old). I usually don't feel like one pump is enough for my face so I end up using 2 every morning and night. At this rate, I use up 1 bottle in a month. I really like this product and have been using it for about 4 months now. I highly recommended this product if you have any small flaws you would like to erase.

This repair serum arrived in a very attractive package...embossed outer sleeve and two-part inner box, and the bottle itself is also nice--as shown, it is blue with a large silver cap that hides the pump delivery system. The serum is a fairly thick, clear gel which goes on well, if not quite as smoothly and easily as some of my other serums. I do end up using a bit more than I anticipated--perhaps due to my dry skin. The serum absorbs quickly and completely, and leaves my skin with a smooth finish. I do experience a slight sting for a few minutes after using, but no visible irritation. I have only been using this product for a few days, and so far I haven't seen any actual differences in the condition or appearance of my skin, although I am not ruling out the possibility of improvement with continued use...my decision to repurchase this product will depend on this happening. Price will also be a factor--this serum seems a bit expensive compared to several other serums I have purchased [this one is currently listed at $30 for 1/2 ounce--no way I would pay the suggested list price of $149!] which come in 1oz bottles for the same cost or less...like most people, I want products that work and that give me value for my money--so this one will have to prove itself (growth factors & all).I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I try to evaluate each product I review based on its own merit whether I paid full-price for it or not, and I do my best to test it thoroughly before giving my opinion. Some products (skin care, in particular) require a longer testing period, so I will update this review if I do end up buying this again.

I keep ordering this product because my face has improved a lot! My skin is more smooth, and scars are fading....

In my never-ending quest for the elusive HG face serum, I've come across the interesting Bio Basics Repair Serum, which claims to be created from Nobel-prize winning research, and helps repair skin from environmental damage.Biobasics claim to fame is the Lanace Complex, a patented series of growth factors that are mixed with DNA compounds. Meant to be used twice or three times daily as a means to keep free radical and sun damage at bay, it can also be used on skin damaged by more conventional means - cuts, burns, abrasions, etc, to help speed the repair of the skin! It also has Hyaluronic acid, one of my favorite skincare ingredients, algae extract, and other plant extracts like soy and pumpkin seed. Dimethicone is listed as an ingredient, which I like for the way it helps the serum apply, but might cause issues if you're sensitive to silicones.The serum is clear, lightweight, and fragrance-free. It glides on easily and absorbs quickly. I use two pumps to cover my face and neck, and rub the leftovers into my hands, which can always use a little help!I'd definitely put this serum in my top 10 favorites. I love the way it feels, and I really think it has helped my skin. I'd been breaking out, and picking at it, of course - and the healing really seemed to speed up when I incorporated this serum twice a day. My skin has cleared up a lot, and feels smooth again!I also really like this packaging. Naturally, pumps have my heart when it comes to serums, because they protect the efficacy of the sensitive formulas, and keep out air and contaminants. This bottle is also opaque, which helps keep out the light. I love the rounded triangular shape of the bottle, too. I am sucker for serums! However, not all serums are the same and since I have oily and blemish prone skin I really have to watch what I put on my skin or I can end up with a bad breakout. I was excited to test out this Repair Serum by BioBasics Skin Care since it's specifically for my type of skin and I am SO glad I did!It's made with a patented growth factor that accelerates healing and helps to improve the vascular, neurological, dermal, and epidermal structures of the skin, sounds pretty impressive, huh?Well it is! I have been using this serum for a few weeks and my skin has been loving it! I have even been using it twice a day, applying it in the morning in place of my moisturizer and I am really impressed with how well and how quickly it absorbs and it wears perfectly under my makeup. I also use it at night and when I wake up in the morning my skin looks brighter and feels soft and smooth. I also notice that if I have any skin issues like face demons they are considerably healed and less noticeable by morning.The Repair Serum by BioBasics Skin Care also works wonders on fine lines and wrinkles! #KillTheCrow!
