Okared 2 Pack Bicycle Rim Strip Rim Tape (26" x 20mm)

i was looking for a heavy grade rim liner , this described what i thought might be a decent liner and the fact it was 3x the price of a typical rim liner and 5x more than the cheapest , low and behold it was thinner than the factory huffy liner , i am 56 yrs old now and it has been a minute since i repaired a tire on a bicycle , and all i can say is the stuff they are using is today for these bikes is CRAP

Excellent RIM TAPE!I had a problem with the spoke bottoms in the front rim constantly poking through the tire and causing flats. I tried several rim strips off the counter at local big box stores and bike stores. This one is nice and thick and fits snuggly in the rim.

I ordered two packages of this product to put on the rims our bikes (2). I just installed a set of these on one bike. I installed them over the existing rubber ones. One thing I noticed on one of the rims, is, that the heads of the spoke ends, had burrs on them. Apparently some worker in China on tightening them, left burrs from a flat screwdriver. I tool a smooth file and deburred them. I actually got a puncture from one of them, right through the rubber liner. As far as these being thicker, I don't see that. I will mic the next set for comparison.

I have used the rubber rim strips from the bike shop and also the French cotton rim tape. The rubber ones break easily and are hard to align. The rim tape has glue that is not very strong and quickly goes bad. The Okared rim strips are better than either of those choices. Strong, durable and secure. I don't worry about my tires anymore. If a rim strip fails, the spoke heads can puncture the tube, causing a flat. These look so well made and sturdy, that should not be a problem. I feel safer using this product, and it is the only brand of rim strip I will use from here on out.

Used these on a pair of 26" mountain bike rims. They covered the spokes and worked well with a set of Bell Tubes. They have more of a nylon than rubber feel, but the installation was easy and there have been no issues with the tubes.If you are looking to cover the entire inside width of the rim, these are not what you want. These cover the center of the rim with a little more on each side.

Just changed the tubes. This was thicker than the one that the bicycle came with. I have hig expectations of this.Around the valve where the original one was only about 1 mm wider than the edge of the valve, this is wider.The rubber is thicker so the tube will be more protected from the spoke screws.

Sturdy, much much thicker than the very lame tissue paper on my stock rim tape, and easy to install! I feel better knowing my spokes will get nicely covered from preventing tube tear. Buy with confidence and make sure you inflate your tubes accurately!!

i was getting punctures Constantly & always thought was tyre but found out the rubber that covers spokes inside wheel had broken I bought this item & since then no puntures & not costing a fortune in inner tubes highly recommend this item after i had checked other reviews i decided to buy this & very happy only put on front wheel at mo but will put on back wheel too great seller quick delivery to amazon locker & great price

Item arrived quickly and as described. Hubbie has renovated his old bike and it is now operational again.
