29" Caldwell Series 300 5/8" Channel Block & Tackle Window Balance - Stamp 28-3

Wish I'd thought to replace these in my windows sooner. Opening and closing them now is like WHEEEEEEEEEE! Perfect fit, easy install, and work great!

installation as standard and works fine. boxing of product could be better had a small damage to one counter balance but able to correct easily. installed 4 units working fine.

It is very easy job to replace this parts, took me 5 minutes to get it done. Save me a couple of hundred dollars. They should put a how to do video next to the product, so we don’t have to search on YouTube.

I have 30 year old windows. 4 of my windows were no longer functional to get ready for tenants. It was either pay $$$$$ to have all of them replaced or buy these channel balances. I opted to replace the channel balances for 8 windows, was less than $140 (had to buy from 2 different companies due to stocking issues), but well worth it. I would recommend checking your window sash cams to make sure none are broken- these are very important pieces- they keep the channel balance in place when window is moving. However, there is a work around if you do not have new ones - get a longer screw and screw it in half way so it acts as the cam.I lubricated the channel balances as suggested in other comments - highly suggest this. I used a dry oil spray lubricant.Very easy to install. I looked it up on YouTube and after 9 windows, I'm a pro.
