Fun but no romance
This was quite delightful. Addie is my kind of heroine. Intelligent, strong, and open-minded. The plot was strong with interesting characters. I love Rupert’s banter with Addie. I feel guilty about not wanting him to earn his wings as he’d be...gone. But, nonetheless... My problem with the whole book was the failure to move Dev and Addie’s relationship up a notch or two. It’s been 3 novels....come on...At least Pam didn’t have a chance to become friends with Dev, so there’s something.

Charming story
I have been enjoying this charming series. Lady Adelaide is perfectly balanced and believable. She accepts a ghost and a police officer both with remarkable aplomb. Dev is nicely drawn character and even Rupert is growing and evolving, which is pretty hard to do when you are dead! The Lady Adelaide mysteries remind me strongly of Dorothy Sayers’ Peter Whimsey mysteries.i don’t think I can think of a higher compliment. I am ready for volume four !

Pretty good story
Likeable main characters, curiously strange goings-on. A group of entitled idiots go to a house party, and the horrors of WWI still hang over the host (who was badly injured). Suddenly a main person is murdered, and others behave oddly. The lovely Anglo-Indian detective comes to solve the puzzle. Would be a good tv series!

Enjoyable reading
I love the way Maggie starts with the lyrics of a song. the storyline is well thought out an I like the way she switches back and forth between Addie and the inspector. All her characters are well rounded individuals that make them believable. Once I started reading I did not want to put the book down. I eagerly await her forth book.

A Great House Party!
This was a great book! My ONLY problem with it is that the author did not offer the hardback, but I am certain she had her reasons! The characters were flawless, strong, and believable. The plot was easy to follow, although twisted as any good plot should be. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and recommend it to anyone who likes this sort of fiction.

A thoroughly enjoyable book and series
I just finished Just Make Believe, and I want it to continue. It has all of the elements of a good historical cozy: plot, conflict, lovable characters, and a little bit of romance....possibly. I can’t wait to read the next installment in the series.

When Dominoes Fall
Just Make Believe is the third Lady Adelaide book I've read. Maggie Robinson writes s good whodunnit. Her characters are lively, there are plenty of twists and turns, a few surprises come up and each book was finished a little too soon. I have pre-ordered and am looking forward to the next book in the series. See you soon, Addie and Dev!
