Wrapped in plastic, unbelievable!
Very disappointed that a product that in its very nature is eco friendly is delivered wrapped in plastic! There is absolutely no reason for the packaging once it’s in a box, it’s a sponge, you wash it! Doesn’t matter if it gets dirty.

RIP OFF. LITERALLY
Total rip off. There should not be any price charged for what was a stupid crumb of sponge. Do not order this size. It is more like a piece ripped off a larger sponge. Maybe ok for taking eye makeup off but not for bathing in a shower. I had to mark one star or my review would not come to you. It deserves minus stars. When will a zero star be allowed if reviews are to be honest.

Failed to last more than two months
I have ordered natural sponges previously from this firm and other firms on Amazon and have always been pleased and found them to be long-lasting, usually 12 months' longevity. This is not the case with this latest purchase from Neptune Wares. I ordered it on November 26 2019 and by the end of January 2020 it had hollowed out, proved incapable of lathering properly from shower gel, and parts of it have been falling to pieces. It is now almost as flat as a pancake and not fit for purpose. A very great disappointment and I have now read other negative reviews from late last year and there would appear to be the same problem by other purchasers. Perhaps a dud stock, but it does not instill confidence and I will not be reordering. A waste of money.

A great biodegradable product but.. wrapped in plastic?
If you’re anything like me you’d have searched for natural sponges then been immediately shocked by the price. But! I have to say the price is high for good reason, this sponge is very high quality. It’s very soft and smells absolutely amazing.I got one that was admittedly a little larger than I needed, I imagine a 15cm would be perfect size for body use. (I ordered 18.5cm though it arrived larger.)The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because I big reason I wanted this, was the fact that it is good for the environment and biodegradable, as I’m sure would be the appeal for a lot of other people.So you can imagine my disappointment when an eco friendly product arrived wrapped in plastic. The plastic seems a needless and unnecessary.

Great Buy!
I've always wanted a natural sponge but have only ever found very expensive and very small ones in the shops which is why I decided to look online. This one is great (I ordered 15 cm size and it's really luxurious) and compared to a recent comparison to one in a leading high street chemist this one is about 3 to 4 times bigger for just £4 more. The one in the shop had also been bleached which I recently learnt weakens the product. Can't fault this product and the speedy delivery.

I bought this because I don't want to use those plastic shower puffs anymore. It doesn't lather up quite as well as a plastic puff but it's still pretty good. Despite following the recommendations, I still see tiny bits of sponge break off when I use it. It's not that strong and for the price, it's probably not that cost effective. Years ago I bout exactly the same type of sponge but it came from Kos, Greece and it lasted much better. They are renowned to be better quality. So I'll be getting one of those when this one bits the dust.

Disappointing quality
Disappointing. Loose structure with bits hanging off it means this sponge will not last at all well. Bears no resemblance to the photo. I realise sponges are each unique, but the one I received is definitely of a far poorer quality than is suggested.

Don't be fooled by the picture. I thought I would be getting a large sponge like I bought in Corfu last year. But this thing is tiny, smaller than the palm of your hand and more than double the price you would pay in Greece for a much bigger sponge.
