Allied Tools 39701FM 72 Pc. Rotary Tool Set

I was so excited about this product when it arrived that I had to try using it. It is easy to hold in your hand, it has great precision. The attachments are just what I was looking for, so there is no need for me to purchase additionnal ones. The cord is long enough to comfortably use the tool on my work table.The two things that buyers need to be aware of are: This tool is not made for heavy work, only light work. So if you want to take rust off your car with it, forget it! The drawers are difficult to open because of a little security bump on each side of the drawers. I have used the tool to file them down. Now they open like a charm.For those two reasons I gave it a four. For me it is not a big deal, but it might be for others. I would recommend this tool to anyone wanting to do craft with it. This is a great little kit for the home, it is good for DIY jobs and also has plenty of uses for hobbies & crafts. A professional who might use a rotary tool daily should definitely pay the extra and go with the Dremel which has multiple speeds and a more powerful motor, but for home use the Chicago Power Tool set is ideal, it has every attachment you can think of plus a dozens I am nut sure what to do with, so all your bases are covered. The body is made of light plastic so it is easy to hold and use but don't be dropping it. The motor seems to have plenty of power for most household tasks and the cutting discs worked fine on cutting through screws where the head was stripped. Just be patient and this little guy does it all. A good buy.

Seems like a nice kit then you open it and you see how cheap it really is. It does the job but the case drawers are a little hard to open and the cheap power cord is a 2 piece cord that connects together and is very small and might get damaged easily..

Case came cracked with a big piece broken off and the clip to close the case at the top was completely broken off as well. Bubble wrap inside box was missing the air. Product works, but packaging was terrible and case isn't very sturdy. Draws at bottom are hard to open as well.

I bought this for little products and jobs. My huge complaint on this item is the lack of power. If you touch it hard to any surface that you are sanding,drilling or etc, the drill head stops and will overheat unless you release pressure. Not worth the money. Spend more and get a real dremel.

I found this product to be lacking torque to do the tough jobs. It handles the light jobs very easily. It's a great value with lots of extras.

This is a cheap rotary tool for small, and not really precise, jobs.It's okay over all.

It is not possible to make wobbling less than 1.5 mm no matter how carefully you will fasten a tool. Collets itself have offset of main holder off the rotating axis ~0.5 mm and most tools have miscentered heads, so instead precise carving or drilling you basically beat object by the wobbling tool. In my childhood I made a similar tool using electric motor, battery and a small collet. I swear, that toy was MUCH more precise!

I bought this for my brother. It's pretty cheap (in price and quality). He said he's afraid to use most of the tools because they might break off when the motor is on. Too late to return it now. You might want to look at something a bit better. I mean this seems nice with all the accessories but it's pretty cheaply made.
