Tigon TW-2R Retractor, Spring/Tool Balancer, (Load Capacity: 1-2 kg/2.2-4.4 lbs) Adjustable cable stopper

I wanted a reel which would retract a metal cable. I was going to use it to hold up the charging cord for my electric vehicle. I thought I needed something that would have a ratchet type mechanism, but this worked very well & as it turns out there is a easy to turn knob, which allows you to change the tension for the cable retraction. You actually “tune” the tension so to speak so that it’s enough to hold the object at any height based on its weight. It works very well.

Well built and easy to adjust the retracing Strength. I use it on a sliding rail above my workbench to hold vac hoses out of the way. Works very well.

I used this to hang some of the long cord that connects to me EV charger. The option to tighten the spool is really handy and it has been working great since my purchase months ago. I’m in the NW and rain has not caused any issue from under the deck. Works really well and retracts every time.

For all you EV people, this thing is perfect to get the chord out of the way. I placed it up on my ceiling in the garage and zip tied the end to the chord itself. It pulls easy and goes back up right out of the way when done. Absolutely suggest this for anyone wanting to git rid of their chord clutter.

I bought this so i can hang my tesla charger on the ceiling. i researched this model over others and ended up choosing this as it was decently priced and seemed to provide what i need. Overall very happy with the unit.. its adjustable and has the right tension to hold up a tesla charger cable from the ceiling. like most i didn't read the instructions so it took me awhile to figure out how to lighten the tension. To do so simply pull the turning knob.

Bought (6) of these for my work (replacing defective other product). Co-worker love these and happy for these new replacements.

It kind of does the job but not well. The tension is not constant throughout the pull of the device. The further you pull the greater the tension. A good tool balancer, creates a zero gravity effect with constant tension no matter how far down you pull the cable. The adjustable tension wheel doesn't really do anything because the tension isn't constant. If you reduce the tension enough, it just stops pulling up the cable all the way.

Purchased to use with my 2-1/2” dust collection hose. Works perfectly can adjust tension on back depending on weight of item being held. Seems like good quality we will see how it holds up.

Purchased for EV charge cord. Near the lowest tension setting it’s perfect - loose enough to easily plug in the cord to the car and not pull back too hard.. but then still strong enough to retract after unplugging and the cord hangs nicely. Exactly what I wanted.
