Like most of you, I looked at all the products related to heated floors. I am extremely happy with our SunTouch heated mat. I watch several YouTube videos on installation. At first I was intimidated with the installation but as I started the process, it became much easier than I thought it would be. I was able to maneuver around corners and change direction of the mat by cutting the webbing to be placed exactly where I wanted it. The floor has been complete for 5 months now and we love the performance of the mat and the programmable thermostat. I will advise you, when you do have to cut the webbing and route the wire by itself, be sure to follow the instructions and space the wire NO MORE THAN 3" apart. I have an area that the wires were a little further apart than 3" and I do feel a small cool spot. Not a big deal, and when installing, I felt that it might be too far. Great product, you won't be disappointed. Nothing like a warm floor when getting out of the shower when it is 10 degrees outside. Whoop! Whoop!

Definitely watch some how-to videos to get ideas on layout. Once I got the best layout figured out, The installation was simple! I just followed the video instructions. The sticky tape didn't work very well for me so I used a hot glue gun to tack the mat down. Its been almost a few years and still works perfect!

I think its a good product. Haven't had the chance to see if it heats adequately due to summer months. Installation seemed easy. after skim coat dried it wasn't smooth enough to lay tile over it. needed extra work to prepare floor to make it worthy of laying tile.

I will be buying their kits for all future rooms that I do. The back bedroom is next. That mat is $1000+ and it will be well worth it.They send absolutely everything you need to install the system and test it before tiling over it.We (The contractor actually) put it on the slab, covered it, then tiled as normal with the ceramic tile.The contractor had never done one of these but was able to do it anyway.The Loud Mouth device that comes with the kit helped to ensure the mat was laid properly before covering it.It raises the temperature slowly. Someone said it heated their bathroom. Our bathroom is 6' x 7' and set at 74 degrees Farenheit did not heat the room well. I would suspect the person had theirs at 80 degrees Farenheit or something high like that.However, THIS IS GREAT ! You step in the hallway with bare feet OOOoouuuu cold, then into the bathroom Ahhhh warmth. This is going to be awesome. I'm getting excited about the final items being setup in the bathroom so we can use it.I'm going to do the same thing in the main bathroom upstairs.

This is a great product. We now have it in the master suite and another bedroom. Because it’s expensive, and not moved once laid, really think about placement. Like don’t put right up to wall. Put it at least 8-10” from the wall. If a dress or is going against the wall, be sure to put it where you would stand when pulling the drawers open. This will also warm the room. So really think about when you want it heated. I love this product!

I purchased this mat for a bathroom renovation and although other outlets had similiar products, once again I read all the Amazon reviews and selected this one. It had all the necessary items as a complete kit versus others that required purchase of additional items separately. I wanted to make sure all parts were from the same manufacturer/maker. Personally a great choice as the programable thermostat works very well and the floor in the middle of a very cold Iowa winter is toasty. I remodeled the master bath for my wife and wanted to include this as an extra gift as she is from California and I am from the South. I would recommend this product as it does what it is supposed to do and does it well. Nothing like getting up when the temperature is (with wind chill) 45 degrees below zero and stepping on a nice warm bathroom floor. Excellent product!

I had a Suntouch floor mat installed recently in my bathroom. Now that the weather has turned colder, I can't imagine why I waited so long to have this! Even my cat loves to stretch out on my warm tile floor. It's so easy to install, especially under tile (Well, my handyman said it was very easy to install) and the programmable thermostat makes those late night trips to the bathroom something to look forward to, and it doesn't damage my electric bill! I'll definitely have this installed in my kitchen floor.From shipping to installation my entire experience with SunTouch through Amazon was first rate.

I purchased this kit for a bathroom remodel project and when the package arrived I failed to notice that HomePlumbing had sent an older version of the Thermostat 500775 (Sunstat Pro II) instead of the 500850 (Sunstat Command) that is listed on their Amazon page. Despite calling and pointing this out to the customer service representatives, they informed me that I was outside the 30-day return window so I was no longer able to return items (even if it was the wrong item).Even more disappointing, the Sunstat Pro II did not function properly when I attempted to hook it up to my heating mat (error7 = end of thermostat life) directly out of the box and I had to purchase the Sunstat Command that should have been included separately from my local Home Depot for $180.Since changing out the thermostat, the kit works exactly as intended and I have a very happy wife! Amazon did issue a small refund to help cover part of the cost of the new thermostat but HomePlumbing would not even take back the defective thermostat or issue any refund.Please be aware and purchase from a seller other than HomePlumbing!Otherwise, I am very happy with the product. Easy to install with the proper thermostat!
