Amazing product
I've been reading a lot about food allergies lately as we have a new baby in the family and I'm a teacher - so see a lot of kids with really bad food allergies which can be quite scary at times.. So it turns out that many food allergies can be prevented if you feed them to the baby early on in life (which is not what the ped. told us for my other kids). So we started giving her a little bit of different foods every few days, but it's really hard to get eggs and nuts and fish into a baby. Then I saw this product and thought I'd try it out. Its pretty amazing in that It has all the major allergens in one pack in tiny little amounts. They say the amount is too small to cause a reaction but enough to train my baby's immune system to get used to the foods. I've been giving it in her porridge for a little less than a week and so far so good. I obviously can't tell if it's working but for me it's an insurance policy. I don't want my child having to sit at the peanut-free table or go to birthday parties and not be able to have cake. I'm going to stick with the mix-ins for a while and then try the little puffs as it might be a bit cheaper as they recommend giving it to a baby for at least a few months. But if you don't want your child to get food allergies then this is a good investment.

peace of mind preventing allergies
We started using ready set food at 3 months as our baby has eczema and strong history of family food allergies. Ready set food only has three ingredients, but I liked how it added them slowly and one by one. We finished it at 4.5 months and moved onto this as he had tolerated that well and started eating solids. At first this really constipated him (every new food does for him). Started with a quarter packet and moved up to a full packed over the course of two weeks just to make sure. Once up to full packet and at 5 months I moved to full packet three times a week, as in the medical research I had found supporting items like this exposure was required 3 times a week to be effective, and this stuff is not cheap! So he gets full dose MWF mixed into Kabrita oatmeal and it seems to be going well. Now he's 6 months and I feel confident with him going forward. He isn't ready for the puffs yet since he doesn't have the pincher grasp and his swallow isn't ready for more solid foods, once he is I will switch him over to the puffs three times a week until he is getting regular exposure to all these allergens (my guess is around age 2?) I hate seafood and seafood smell and this doesn't seem to be stinky- smells more nutty. Baby doesn't seem to mind the flavor at all.

Great for my mildly sensitive child
NOTE - don't try this unless you have consulted a pediatrician/allergist - My youngster is sensitive to peanut and sesame in high quantities (can take either in low quantities, but gets hives and lip swelling if concentrated forms like peanut butter or tahini are served). I decided to try SpoonfulOne as a gentle way to reintroduce allergens to LO's diet. We worked our way up from 1/4 of a Spoonful to one whole Spoonful per day. Child is now eating one whole Spoonful per day with zero reactions to date. If I had to guess, the dosage must be super low to cause zero reactions in a child who has food sensitivities. My child also tested positive via skin test for cashew and pistachio but has zero problem with the cashew/pistachio in SpoonfulOne.Please also note -- as a parent who knows how scary food reactions can be, we have an epi pen at home and have personally accepted the risk of at-home oral immunotherapy. I would not recommend this for anyone whose child is anaphylactic or has had severe/multiple reactions to an allergen, as the sensitivity can worsen and may need to be treated medically.I saw some other parent's comments that it doesn't mix well with milk. We mix ours with one small spoon of yogurt (which my child LOVES) and it goes down super fast.@SpoonfulOne -- THANK YOU for this product. I will definitely give it to my next child to prevent any sensitivities. My only feedback to you is, can you share what levels of each allergen are in this product? Would be curious to know what my child is consuming.

Expensive, but worth it to hopefully prevent food allergies
We were first given samples of this from our pediatrician. We mixed it in with our baby's oatmeal and she loved it. Once we used up all of our samples, we ordered another set online. I was surprised by the price as it is pretty expensive for such a limited amount of product, but it is important to me to try to prevent food allergens for our baby. We will use the ones that we have, but I'm not sure I will purchase again. I might purchase the little snacks that are also available by this company for our baby when she is a couple months older.

Really is Pediatrician recommended
When my baby was old enough to start the weaning process my pediatrician had recommended adding some peanut butter powder to oatmeal/cereals to help decrease the risk of a peanut allergy. We did that and it went well. Then I found SpoonfullONE and loved that it covered so many more potential allergens. At the next regular pediatrician check-up, I mentioned that I was feeding my baby SpoonfulONE and the doctor got excited. She had heard of it and really liked the concept. She was happy that one her patients was using it and said she will let other parents know especially as time elapses and my boy continues to be free of food allergies.I tend to mix in the powder with mushy foods/purées/cereals/oatmeal/etc. So far the baby has had no reaction and ate it all up. I tried one time to mix with formula and that was a hard pass for my boy. Maybe because he knew what formula normally tasted like or because the liquid thickened just a little too much, but he refused the bottle for the first time. But adding to foods as we wean is still really easy.I also feed the baby the puffs as well. I find the powder easier to work with but keeping a pouch of the puffs in the diaper bag is an easy way to keep the boy from getting hangry while out and about.
