DEE ZEE DZ4131 Brite-Tread Full Tailgate Protector

The first one of these I ordered was all smashed up on one end. Amazon told me to just order another one and return the first, which I did, and that transaction went pretty smoothly.The second one was tweaked a little, but nothing bad.This particular cover is for full-size Fords from '87-96 (and '97 F250HD & F-350). It does not have any predrilled mounting holes which was probably my major gripe. That makes it a little more difficult to get it exactly straight because it doesn't fit over the top of the tailgate flush either (at least not on mine).But overall it's a nice product and it looks great.

Its unusual you find something that fits without modification. This tailgate cover fits my 1990 F350 tailgate perfectly. I was replacing a plastic cover that was lost by previous owner. The only thing I will need to do is mark and drill holes where the prior plastic cover screws were so I can use the same mounting screws. thing looks pretty awesome as well. Matches the diamond plate tool box I have perfectly. I noted someone else said this didn't cover the entire tailgate but it actually does. The only part it doesn't cover is the bottom 2 inches because this is a pinch point between the body and the tailgate.

Fit my new tail gate perfect... I siliconed it on, and never looked back. My old one was screwed down with a nice flush carpet type strip, but this one had to just use a lap joint carpet strip with screws. It works just the same, just not as flush for pulling things out of the truck bed.

Fit perfectly

I have had one of these for 18 years on my 95 fi50 and it was very durable and still looks good for the age and abuse, but, these new ones are half as thick which makes them dent easily. I couldn't find any other company that makes them so it seems to be the only choice for now. Disappointed.
