Very easy to use and holds heat well
I have been wanting to get a portable shelter for quite sometime now. I looked at some of the cheaper off-brand shelters, but decided to just spend a little more to get this Eskimo Quickfish 2. At the end of this review, I will link a video that I did. It is a quick review/first impression type video. I show you how it pops up, and set up gear inside of it so you can actually get an idea of what it looks like. Many videos show how to set it up and take it down, but you don't get an idea of what the inside is like. The first time setting it up, I felt like the hubs were a little hard to pop out. Since then, they pop out fine, and I think they just need to be broken-in initially. On the 2nd attempt of setting it up, it took me just over 2 minutes to totally assemble it, and that includes removing it from the bag. (Not including ice anchors). It's super easy. Taking it down is just as easy, and after you've done it a couple times, you will notice it folds up a certain way.Putting it back into the bag is a little tricky, but it only takes a couple of minutes. There is a strap that goes around it after you fold it all up. It helps cinch it together and makes it easier to get into the bag. Push the material of the shelter inward as you pull the bag over it. It's not going to slide right in, but its not hard.It comes with 6 anchors with ropes in a nice little case. You can buy a drill bit for a cordless drill which is supposed to drive these into the ice easier. I have done it by hand and it works just fine. Sometimes its hard to start them, but once they bite in, its smooth. I highly recommend anchoring a corner of the shelter into the ice before setting it up. This will keep it from blowing away, and also from sliding around as you pop-out the hubs. They recommend setting up the shelter so the door-side is facing away from the wind. You will want to put at least 2 anchors on the back side, and maybe another one with a bungee strap (instead of the included ropes) connected to the back hub. I also put one on the corner just below the door. So when you zip/unzip the door it doesn't pull the shelter up.I feel like this is just enough room for 2 adults, or maybe an adult and 2 kids. 3 adults in here could be done with minimal gear, but if you plan on fishing 3 adults often, get a larger one. Although its not insulated, a Mr. Heater Propane Buddy keeps this very warm, and retains the heat very well even after you shut it off. I didn't need to run the heater nearly as much as I thought I would. There are 4 windows, each one can be removed, and each one has a shade to block out the light. There are also 2 vents that you can open. Condensation can happen in these, especially when using a heater, so these help some. The storage bag has straps, so it can be carried on your back like a backpack. I don't know what it weights, but its not a burden.Although I have only used it a few times, I am really enjoying the shelter, and it totally changes your ice fishing experience for the better if you have never used one. One more tip- after its popped up, with your one security anchor I mentioned, don't install the additional anchors just yet. Drill your ice holes, then slide the shelter out of the way to clean the slush out, and place the shelter back on, its much easier than trying to fling slush out the door after its already setup.I hope this review helps. If you want to see a video of it, and get an idea of it's size, copy and paste the link below, or just search "Maine Angler" on YouTube and you should find it. After a full season of use, I will update this review. Thanks!https://youtu.be/ypJFoVMBj4Y

Great ice hut!
I can't praise this product enough! I've been in rooms on cruise ships that weren't this big! The insulated walls are amazing and they didn't sweat one bit. Got caught up in some light drizzle/freezing rain this morning and it beaded right up and ran off.

Well made
This is a very well made, sturdy shelter. High quality from top to bottom.Very easy to set up and take down. Only a few minutes, including putting in the ice anchors (I use an electric drill with the tool that Eskimo makes for that purpose). Handles the wind well. The insulated fabric is great. Easier to heat and quieter, with no dripping from condensation. Two opposing adjustable vents with velcro, allow for contol of ventilation. The four big windows are nice, let in a lot of light. There are shades with velcro for each, which make it dark enough inside for spearing. The windows also have velcro on them, and are removable as well. Two doors with high quality, YKK two way zippers. The black roof helps absorb some of the suns power to heat the shelter. It would fish three people, but it would be a little tight. A true two man shelter, in my opinion. All and all, I'm very happy with this shelter. In fact, I bought a second one to give to my daughter, who likes to ice fish.

Makes for a great portable work shelter!
From the pictures it is easy to deduce that I do not use the tent for ice fishing. That said, it works remarkably well as a portable work shelter. I can set it up in less than a minute. The tent is very stable, I did not need the anchors with wind gusts around 20 mph. It holds heat very well too. I like the backpack style case which makes it easy to carry, however I have yet to figure out an easy way to get it back in the case. Probably operator error, but if the case had a zipper on it and another one of the Velcro straps, it would be much easier to repack. Other than that, it does exactly what I need it too, and is $200 bucks cheaper than a manhole utility shelter.Update. After a month of near daily use, I have abandoned the backpack bag. I set this tent up and break it down multiple times per day when I use it, and the carrying case is not practical. It can be setup and broken down in under a minute, but it takes me 15 minutes and a few choice words to get it back in the case. Also I ended up buying some tent anchors to hold it down when it’s windy. The anchors that come with it are designed to be screwed into ice, and are too short (maybe 5 inches) to work in soil. That said, I’ve set this tent up and broke it down at least 40 times. I haven’t had any issues with the hardware failing. Overall I’m still satisfied with my purchase.

Quick fish 3
Quick Fish 3. Great ice house. Seems very well built and goes up and down easily. Fit 3 guys inside comfortably . Picture shows fishing area with three 8 inch holes. Ice anchors work great and very easy to use by hand. No regrets and would buy it again.

Had an issue but was resolved
I bought Quickfish3 tent and found one of the Velcro holding the door flap missing. I called Eskimo several times and to make the long story short gave them the option for paying (~$25) to get it fixed locally or return it. After some verification, customer service authorized the fix and saved the cost of return and losing a sale.Suggestion: Get yourself 3/8" clear tubing and cut section slightly longer than the ice anchor to protect the carry bag instead of clumsy black tip covers that fall off. Easy to put on and will not destroy your bag or tent. Cheap fix.Thank you Sara.

This is good for 2 people and all the equipment you need
This is good for 2 people and all the equipment you need. Three would be too tight unless you keep most of you gear outside. That said, it did a great job at keeping the wind out and we actually had to open the door with the heater going. Wold recommend trying to open and close it a couple of times before taking it out so you understand the mechanism before you are out on the lake in the cold struggling to close it down.

Excited to use this
Havent had it out on the lake yet. Set it up in my basement so I could be familiar with it. Set up is quick and easy, zippers move smoothly and freely. Lots of room inside. Windows open to let light in, and you can remove the clear plastic for additional air flow if needed. There are two roof vents that can be opened to keep fresh air entering the tent. The black lining makes it nice and dark inside. Everything looks great, but the true test will be in a few weeks when i get it on the ice. The only reason for not rating this 5 stars is the fact I havent used it in real world conditions

Very good ice shelter.
This is my second Quickfish 3. The first one I had for 5 years and passed it on to a relative. Still going strong. This Quickfish has better windows than the first and double doors which are nice. The stitching isn't quite as good as the original, but still fine. The ice screws on mine needed to be cleaned up with a file and now dig in very well. These shelters go up and down good if you don't force them. Watch the video.

Great buy. No complaints.
Good for two people if you are sitting on small chairs. You could fit 3 if you are sitting on buckets. Keeps the weather out and the heat in. It took me about three minutes as a first timer to set it up. You just pull the tabs on the sides and it pops into place. The bag also has backpack straps so it’s easy to carry. Has flaps that pull down for windows. Zipper works well oven after a day in freezing rain.

great quality of material not by any means cheap
Bought this as a gift for my mom and her boyfriend for Christmas as they ice fish, and had an old shelter, this thing blocks so much wind and keeps the heat so well, they barely use their heater while in it now, great quality of material not by any means cheap, easy to assemble for 1 person, and easy to pack around.

Great so far
I haven't used this yet. But I set it up several times now and it really does only take a minute or two. And they are way bigger than any photos or YouTube videos make them look. I suspect this is going to make this year's ice fishing trip much more enjoyable

Quality ice fishing tent
Sets up quickly and comes down quickly. First rate materials and overall a great tent. It is perfect for two people, it would be a little tight for three people if they had a lot of equipment.

replacement pole parts
I was not impressed by this pop up fish hut at all. The very first time using it one of the poles shattered . trying to get replacement parts is next to impossible.Would not ever buy one again.
