Loctite518 50ml Red Gasket Eliminator Tube

Perfect amount for my SeaDoo Jet Pump rebuild. Seemed a little thick and difficult to dispense but it's my first time using this product so maybe not.

Loctite 518 is called for on 2 of 9 bolts for my seadoo. Why, I imagine it goes through water jacket and handles temp. Anerobic loctite. Glad I was in no hurry for it. Permatex must make a similar product that is easier to get?

I have used this product for years. When a customer kept blowing a head gasket on his race car, that lots of compression. He was directed from engine builder ,that he needed to 'o ring' the block,or use a 200$ copperHead gasket. I tried this gasket eliminater ,w/great success. No more blown gasket for 3 race seasons.First time I've ever used anything on a head gasket ,other than metallic spray paint.

The Loctite 518 did a very good job sealing the crank housing on my Evinrude engine the only problem I have is I wish I would’ve purchased the tube with the new roller applicator

I purchased Jan 26, 2024 and it expires April 25, 2024.

I used this product on crankcase seals for my 2 Husqvarna chainsaws I rebuilt. Worked well. Product is very tacky but so far no leaks as both saws have worked flawlessly. While using this product is not specifically recommended by Husky when replacing seals anyone who has done the job knows that you don't really want to do it twice because of an air leak. Why take the chance I thought. So I used this as insurance. Glad I did. Hope this helps

Loctite 518 is great when you want a leak-free installation. Whether you normally use a gasket or not, this stuff makes sure you're not going to have a leaky seal. Only thing not to like? when you remove the item it's gonna be messy to clean up the surfaces for re-mating.
