Excellent summary of three greats.
I really enjoyed this smallish, but compete book related to the use of “I” among three great Advaita teachers of the 20th century. The author presents a focus, summary, short biography and also notes on the relevance of the “I” concept in each of the three sections. This book was of particular interest for me, after having a decade of so experience with the material (Advaita). It may not be so approachable for those new to the teachings, o without having done the hard yards in practice. It is definitely a book I will re-read and go over more in depth. Overall, very happy to have purchased and read it. It delivers a new perspective on a core topic in Advaita- the “I”.

Concise and thought-provoking
This book was my best discovery in a long time due to the inclusion of Atmananda material. While the work of the other two is readily available for e-book reading, it seems most or all of Atmanada's books are in paper form only. I live in New Zealand, the bottom of the world. The nation has one large book store chain. It takes a month to get a book from England. The extra freight on even Amazon books make them spendy. So thank you again, Mr. Renard. I recommend this to every seeker.

My door has been opened
I have been so attached to object of my physical self so terrestrial educated I am had been hidden well, this reading has opened self awareness closed by my attachment to objects fleeting in experiences. I Am my own Door, open yours.

A mashup of three approaches to the I Am summit confuses rather than illuminates
By trying to reconcile three approaches to the same ontological conclusion one is left with a confusing word salad. My recommendation would be to read each of them separately as valid paths. Attempting to reconcile the three at all points on the journey adds nothing to the final understanding.

An interpretation of three people's interpretations of Advaita Vedanta.
"Probably no other teacher or writer, from East or West, has investigated the truth of what ‘I’ really is, as thoroughly as these three spiritual giants." What should be included in this quote is that both the investigations (core of the book) and the narratives (majority of book) operate almost entirely within the framing of Advaita Vedanta, and are simply individual interpretations of earlier works in Hindu philosophy. If you've already touched on the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, etc, this book isn't going to offer much. If you haven't, then I suggest starting at the source instead of getting it second-hand."The three teachers discussed in this book – RamanaMaharshi, Atmananda and NisargadattaMaharaj – steer clear from all religious dogma, therefore making their teachings especially suitable for both westerners and easterners." Except that they draw directly from Hindu philosophy, maintain ashrams, and allow their followers to adorn them with historically religious venerable names and praises. Additionally, the constant dabbling in traditional Sanskrit metaphysical nomenclature is at the very least sitting close to the fence of what the author has determined to be clear of religious dogma, which would be acceptable if we can openly admit that these words are the only tools we have to discuss certain phenomena. But in this book we don't, because we can't."The moment you follow someone you cease to follow Truth." -J. Krishnamurti

Gracefully presented the essense of Advaita
The essense of what the greatest teachers of modern era has been reduced to few pages in this book. The author has very gracefully presented the teachings, analysing and breaking it down to easy to assimilate form.
