3/4 HP motor is a Goldilocks compromise for belt grinding.
This motor is a good choice for 2" x 48" belt grinder applications which require TEFC to prevent dust from entering the motor. The 3/4 hp model is a Goldilocks compromise of horsepower, size/weight, efficiency and cost. Running it from any 115VAC outlet will not trip your breaker but is small and light enough to move it to the work. The duty cycle is nearly 100% for belt grinding applications. Additionally, Lee provides a square enclosure on the side of the motor. On the faceplate of this enclosure you can mount a DPDT toggle switch to easily allow the motor to be run either clockwise or counter clockwise depending on what and how you are grinding. If you do not need reversibility, you can also mount an off/on toggle switch. Hope this helps

Just what I needed to get my Index mill making chips again.
Installed on my old Index milling machine to replace the failed GE motor. Wired up for 220v, runs great forward and reverse. I was quoted $575 for a new GE motor so the Leeson was a great option. The mill does not get used daily so this motor should last a long time.

I'm sure the motor is good but the wire up with all the different p-2 ...
I'm sure the motor is good but the wire up with all the different p-2 t-2 and such make the hookup difficult at best compared to a Dayton motor. never could figure out how to wire though a barrel switch even had a certified electrician look at it ,could not get to run reverse so left it to run one direction.

Should include wiring hookup schematic
I had to go online to find a schematic to use to hook this up. It would have been better to have it in with the motor when it arrives. I used this on a chicken plucker and will be trying it out for the first time tomorrow.

Performs as expected.
This motor has performed just as expected. I have had no problems. It has proven to be reliable under strenuous use. I highly recommend it. The price is much better than comparable motors.

A real work horse! We built a chicken plucker, attached this motor and now it's helped us process 125 birds with 50 more to process in a few weeks. I suspect we'll have a long relationship with this motor!!!!
