Good buy
If you enjoy Tofu as much as I do you'll get good use out of this press. It works great, is easy to use and easy to clean. A block of tofu fits in it perfectly. I generally press a block for a couple of hours or over night in the fridge. It presses the tofu beautifully so frying it is a breeze! (sturdy material)

14oz Blocks and Smaller Only
I saw so many reviews of this that were just ridiculous. It works great. You can't use Costco jumbo sized tofu in this press. It's perfect for regular market sized tofu which comes in 12-14.5oz sizes. Simple to assemble and clean and drains 90% of the tofu water withing an hour. I have been making some seriously delicious tofu with so much less clean up. No more cutting boards and cans or paper towel messes.

Great Product!
This is a great product over all! First let me say it arrived the day I ordered it. With in a couple of hours. Hats off to Amazon on that note. The product is a little smaller in person than the pictures portray, but it was a perfect fit for a 14oz block of Tofu. Its obviously made of plastic. Its has some flex to it but strong enough to get a good solid press. It comes with a holder, a large spring, a strainer, and a top to press with. Its pretty straight forward, right out the box. Pop your tofu block in the strainer, put your spring in the holder and press the strainer down on the spring, latch the top and throw it in the fridge. Thats it. While using I noticed that most of the tofu juice comes out within the first couple of minutes. I was using extra firm tofu, and I had to dump it to keep the liquid from touching the tofu. You don’t have to open it back up to dump, simply turn it to the side and the liquid comes right out.The only downside I noticed was that if your like me and press your tofu for a couple of hours, you will have to flip your tofu or it will press into the holes of the strainer and stop the extraction on liquid.Outside of that its a great product at a decent price.

Great little item
What a great addition to my kitchen. It is simple to use, and drains the tofu easily. Seems pretty durable and makes cooking much quicker without the use of multiple towels or paper towels.

Strongly recommend!
I don't usually leave a review so early -- I like to give it a while, and see how it holds up -- but I'm making an exception for this product, because 1) it's game-changing, and 2) it's simply and solidly constructed, so I'm optimistic it will hold up well. I absolutely, positively love this tofu press. I am a lacto-ovo pescatarian, I can only eat so much cheese and eggs, and tofu is the perfect protein replacement in most of my recipes that call for chicken, turkey, or beef. My grocery store just started carrying House tofu, which is the mildest-flavored water-pack tofu out there, and two of these presses hold one package. It works exactly as advertised -- after a half-hour, it's nicely pressed, but after pressing overnight, the tofu is half the thickness, a fantastic texture, and it's ready to be eaten as is with a sauce drizzled over it Japanese-style, grilled, oven-baked, cooked in sauce, whatever. It's easy to use, and they stack on top of each other and take up about twice as much space as the original packaging, which seems like a good use of fridge space. It's well-designed so it washes up quickly and easily, and as mentioned, solidly constructed. If you like tofu, buy this!! -- you'll *love* pressed tofu. I'll return to edit if it doesn't hold up well!

I love this tofu press!
I used to make tofu once in a blue moon because of the pressing process. (Pressing with a cast iron skillet and lots of paper towels.) Thanks to this little tofu press, I am making tofu all the time and experimenting with different ways to cook it. I love how easy it is to use, and how you can dump out the liquid without taking it apart. I put in my tofu in the morning, lock it in place, dump out the excess water, and then put it in the fridge to keep pressing while I go about my day. By dinner time, it's perfectly pressed and ready to go!

Great press but be careful about washing.
This is a great tofu press for the money. I like that I can press tofu and then place the container in the fridge until I’m ready to do something with it.One caution.. either hand was or place on top rack of the dishwasher. Mine has warped a little due to dishwasher heat but it is still very usable. Great gadget for the kitchen because it takes up very little room too.
