Killer toilet seal kit!!!
My old wax ring was leaking badly. You know, you have to resolve to do an unpleasant job but at least do it the easiest way. Thats what the Fluidmaster kit is, the easiest, nicely made and I suspect most effective way to seal up your toilet watertight first time out of the starting gate. There's a BIG reason there's so many 5-star reviews!!! It's priced right and the design is way better than a one-shot unforgiving wax ring. So ordered the kit, removed my leaker toilet and its shot eroded wax ring cleaned everything and BANG... Installed wax free seal. Man like what a breeze, fast, simple and easy!!! totally easy to readjust if needed. Would I ever use wax again? not a chance! Thanks to Amazon fast service!!

Nice Concept but Had to Return
The Fluidmaster Universal Toilet Seal arrived nicely packaged, but unfortunately, I had to return it because it just didn’t fit my toilet. While I liked the idea of a wax-free solution and the easy installation, it wasn’t the right match for my setup in the end.Sometimes things just don’t work out!

It's Like Anyone Can Be A Plumber!
So easy to use, even I can do it.I installed two new toilets in two remodeled bathrooms. In one, the new floor had been installed and the flange was slightly higher than the floor. No problem. The rubber Fluidmaster sealed completely. No leaks, no worry about adjusting the toilet position after it's placed, no mess.In the second bathroom the floor hasn't been installed yet. I wasn't going to put the second toilet in until the floor was installed. But the tank on the old toilet broke so I didn't have any choice. This flange was MUCH higher than the floor. I had to tighten the toilet down a little more than I felt comfortable doing but it doesn't seem to have hurt anything. Just like the first, no leaks, no problems. Even with the ultra-high flange. Just take the thin, pre-installed seal/spacer off the Fluidmaster rubber flange and it was good to go. And I won't have a wax ring to worry about when I remove this toilet to install the floor. These Fluidmaster rubber seals worked great and I highly recommend them.

Good product
Good design, good seal, if installed correctly. Pay attention to instructions on proper projection above floor. If the flange is well below the finished floor surface, there is a separate spacer provided to go under the seal. If flush to + 1/4", use just the seal with attached foam spacer. If the flange is + > 1/4", remove the foam spacer attached to the seal, and use just the seal on top of the flange. The advantage of this over wax is that you can reposition the toilet, as needed. With wax, you only have one shot to get it right. If you set the toilet down off-center with wax, you may have to pitch it and start over. If installing a toilet alone--especially with heavier one-piece toilets and/or in tight spaces, I use a small furniture dolly (from Harbor Freight) to move the toilet into exact position over the flange, then lift the toilet, kick the dolly out of the way, then set the toilet straight down on the flange bolts.

I didn't want to jinx it
I live in a 1950's lakehouse and the bathroom flooring is very uneven, it slopes toward the exterior wall (on cement block crawlspace) and also towards the north (no idea why). In the past 4 years since I bought this place, I've had to get a plumber to replace the wax ring once every 8-9 months. He even tried new flanges, putting on 2 wax rings, etc. - it still would leak eventually. Spacers to keep the toilet level also didn't work.So I decided to hire a new plumber since I'm not doing this stuff myself. I bought 2 of these Fluidmasters since I wasn't sure how many would be needed. Although since using MY purchased parts he would give me no warranty, I said go ahead and use this. He wanted to put ANOTHER wax ring on. Nope, not doing that again. He had never used one of these before and he's been a licensed plumber for 20+ years. He ended up using only one so I have a spare for the other bathroom (that's a more level floor on a newer bedroom addition).I've been waiting. I didn't want to jinx this by writing a review too soon. It's been a year today and no leaks (knock on wood!)
