A wonderful way to protect and polish
A wonderful way to protect and polish. I've been making earrings and pendants and love the way they look with this shellac. Wellermart includes nice detailed instructions and their YouTube video is very helpful too.

Almost totally dewaxed
The only thing I would say, other than that the product is exactly as described, is that these flakes are a little bit waxy for dewaxed shellac. It's not a functional issue for me, and I didn't need to filter the shellac after mixing. There's just a small amount of waxy residue. Otherwise, a good value.

Worked well for a beginner
This is my first time working with Shellac at all. I bought 4 oz of Dewaxed Platina and dissolved it into 190 proof Everclear. It took about 48 hours for all of it to dissolve (mostly because I let it clump at the bottom). Overall, the resulting liquid only had a little bit of impurity. The overall solution went on well and did not seem to impact the color of the maple, walnut, or blue epoxy that I had on the wood. I'm very satisfied and have another order in place for a pound. The attached photo shows walnut and maple wood along with blue epoxy all covered in the shellac solution. The rounded pieces on top of the maple are actually covered in spray-on polyeurathane (no way that I could take the time to shellac 28 shaped pieces).
