CordobaHumiCase Protege Thin Body Classical/Flamenco Humidified Guitar Case

Hardshell case with a lush interior that protects my new guitar. I really enjoy that it controls the humidity to protect my investment! The inside is a royal blue and has compartment space. I purchased this because 1. It is the best and serves a dual-purpose and 2. Cordoba upgrades my warranty to a lifetime warranty on my guitar with the purchase of this case.Comes with keys to lock.I sincerely like the case; the guitar fits snug and I will not have to worry bumping my case and damaging the guitar.Might as well buy the best.

The case has a nice finish and my Cordoba C5-CET fits perfectly. The smell, however, is unbearable and won't go away. The strap that holds the lid open is too short so the lid easily falls shut. This would be a keeper if it wasn't for the smell and the constantly closing lid. I'll be sending it back in hopes that I can find another hard case to fit my guitar.Quick update: After airing out the case for about two weeks, the smell is just as strong as when it first arrived. I purchased an SKB case as a replacement for this one. The SKB doesn't fit my guitar as well (the case is a little big), but there is no smell. It's unfortunate that Cordoba hasn't fixed the odor issue because their case is as slim and elegant as the guitar it is supposed to house. I knocked my rating down to one star because there's no way I can recommend this case to anyone due to its odor.

Overall a decent case that is overpriced. The humidifier feature is good but can be purchased for $5 to add to any case. It must be serviced weekly - no problem as it's easy to disassemble - but when used with steel strings causes them to rust. My case arrived with improperly installed and loose hardware which required some repair with screwdriver and hammer and "ain't great" but works for my light use - wouldn't stand up to gigging. The worst part is the smell which completely destroyed the beautiful scent of my Cordoba's wood. Hasn't dissipated in almost a year ...Addition 04/01/2024 - still stinks!

I like the size. Perfect for my Córdoba. The humidity level has stayed constant around 50%

This is not only functional, but it's also well built, good looking inside and out, and mine smells great!

Case is sturdy and fits a thin body classical beautifully. The smell is DISGUSTING though and has permeated the guitar.I have left the case open for a week with no smell dissipation. I don't know if it's Formaldehyde, Glue or the Plush Lining material. All I know is my Cordoba HumiCase has NO SUCH SMELL. HumiCase designed in California should go back to the drawing board. If you value your guitar and possibly your health, look elsewhere.
