Not bad if you are brand new to Hebrews
We are not that scholarly, but our Sunday School class found the questions a little remedial. From a publishing standpoint, the text is very small. Not recommended for those who have eyesight issues.

Great studty, but text too tiny
I only gave it 4 stars the study is great, the questions make you think. But the Text is so tiny I have problems reading it even with a magnifying glass. I do wear glasses but have no problems reading anything else not even directions on pill bottles.

Everything You Need in One Place
The New Living Translation has been one of my favorite translations of the Bible since I first found it in 2001 (In fact, it is the first translation that I truly read through the whole Bible in, and it brought about a huge transformation in my life - the end result of that transformation being my acceptance of the call to pastor). On the back cover, it says "With Life Application Bible Studies, you have everything you need in one place!" This statement says so much about the usefulness of this Bible Study.Having the actual book of Hebrews from the NLT Life Application Study Bible (LASB) in this study booklet makes a huge difference in how I'm able to use it. If I'm wanting to study while I'm on the go, then I don't have to "lug around" a study Bible with me because it's already there. If you have an appointment, say with the doctor, and you don't want to waste the waiting time looking through the magazines at the office, you can easily take this study booklet with you and spend that time in God's Word. These studies have been designed with the "average" Christian in mind. But, in reality, you can delve as deep as you wish into the book of Hebrews with this study. Because of its size and accessibility, you can easily pair it with other study materials - i.e. a commentary, other study Bible, and other translations of Scripture. The actual lessons are made up of 6 different parts:1. The "REFLECT on your life" section begins each lesson with a couple of questions that help you to start thinking about the themes that will be brought out in the lesson. For example, Lesson 7 is entitled "A Priest Forever" and in it you learn about the priesthood of Christ. The first "REFLECT" question in Lesson 7 is "What are your minister's most important responsibilities?" This question (like all of the "REFLECT" questions) helps you to start thinking about the theme of the Lesson, and also helps connect that theme to your life here and now. It begins the process of showing that Scripture is relevant to our lives today.2. The "READ the passage" section is all about the text. It gives you the passages to read, and also leads you to read and discuss the LASB notes on those certain verses. In many Bible studies, the section that has you read the passage does simply that - it has you read the passage - but in this study, questions are included that help you to see the theme in the text and bring out the most important information.3. The "REALIZE the principle" section begins with a paragraph that explains what the main principle or theme is in the passage that is being studied. This is followed by questions that help to fully bring the theme of the passage to the forefront of your mind. The next two sections are very important. Now that we've successfully brought out the theme of the passage we are studying, we will have the opportunity to respond and resolve.4. The "RESPOND to the message" section gives questions that help you to take what you've learned in the previous sections and actually make them applicable to your life today. This section gives you the opportunity to respond to what you've learned, and to what the Holy Spirit has spoken into your heart through the study. This is an important section, and one that many Bible studies leave out or don't pay as much attention to. The focus of the LASB is to help people understand how Scripture is applicable to their daily lives - and this study is no different. That is a key aspect, and one that makes this an important study to have.5. The "RESOLVE to take action" section takes it a step further and includes questions that will help you find a way to put into action what you've learned in the lesson. As the book of James says, "I will show you my faith by what I do." This section helps you to do just that.6. The final section is "MORE for studying other themes in this section." This section gives you questions that help you go deeper in your study of the passage - bringing out more themes that are connected with the passage.A word of caution - this Bible study will become what you make of it. If you so desire, it can become something incredible and life-changing. Tyndale has put together everything that you need to grow in your knowledge of Scripture and to help you learn how to apply that Scripture to your life.I give my highest recommendation to you to use these Bible studies - for personal use, for small groups at church, and even for Bible classes at school.

Excellent Resource! Everything you need in one place!
I love this Bible Study of the Book of Hebrews. It gives me so much background and history on the text that I'm reading it's so much easier to understand it. The complete text of Hebrews is included along with a breakdown verse by verse. There are lessons and discussion questions for each book of Hebrews. This is a great accompaniment to the Life Application Study Bible. This would be an excellent resource for personal study, small group Bible study, or even if you're teaching Sunday School or leading a small group study. The study guide is easy to use with the first part of the book including the complete text of Hebrews(NLT), easy to understand study notes, application notes, and biblical profiles along with maps & charts like you would find in the Life Application Study Bible. The second part of this guide includes thirteen lessons meant to stimulate thought, discussion, and practical application. There is plenty of space to write answers to the thought provoking questions and there are special applications that will help you map out your own personal plan of action. There are six parts to each lesson: Reflect, Read, Realize, Respond, Resolve and More. This volume has everything that you would need to encourage one to grow in the knowledge of Scripture and to learn how to apply it to their lives. I would highly recommend this study guide to everyone. The only problem that I did have with this study was that the print was soooo small. I would think that it could be very difficult for many people to read and use. Other than that I thought that it was a wonderful resource and would love to purchase more in this series.Glitter Text Generator

Great Resource
I have quite enjoyed using this Hebrews, NLT Life Application Bible Studies guide. This book is wonderful whether you are on the go or are just looking to have all your information in one place. I've found this guide incredibly useful for myself and imagine that others will greatly benefit from it as well. You can use this study guide for self study, a small group, or even as guide to go by at church. You can use this guide alone, or with other sorts of resources though it's not required because I imagine that most people will get a lot of this guide as it is.This guide is fairly simple to use. The first part of this book includes the complete text of Hebrews(NLT), easy to understand study notes, application notes, and biblical profiles along with maps & charts as they would appear in the Life Application Study Bible.Part 2 of this guide includes thirteen lessons to stimulate thought, discussion, and practical application. Plenty of space to right answers to the through provoking questions and special application to help you map out your own personal action plan. Each lesson is made up of six parts: * Reflect * Read * Realize * Respond * Resolve * MoreTyndale has done a wonderful job putting together everything that someone would need to encourage one to grow in the knowledge of Scripture and to learn how to apply it to their lives. I highly recommend this study guide to everyone and find myself very likely to pick up their other guides as well.
