Best black beans I’ve ever had!!!

I'm used to a bunch of gravel in my beans these days, but I rarely find it in this brand! These beans are pretty dang good, and I love making bean dip or refried beans with them. I agree with the bag, this is one of the best raw materials that money can buy.

I've bought these before, and they had a longer expiration date and looked shinier. I'm sure these will be fine, but disappointed that it's only a one-year expiration date since I use these for an emergency pantry.

LOVE it. Put in Instapot with a cut up onion, bay leaf, cumin and garlic to taste. Blend 1/2 of them, leave 1/2 intact. Perfect high protein addition to meals

I am kind of a bean snob. I like to have beans every day, and so I keep cleaned beans in mason jars. I had some trouble finding good fresh black beans, it might have been the end of the season or else everyone else was feeling the rise of food costs. I finally decided to get this huge bag. They are very clean, literally no rocks. I found quite a few broken beans but that’s pretty normal. I always rinse off the beans before soaking, there was dirt of course but not a lot. The nice thing was it’s a really big bag and the price was terrific. So, it’s worth getting a 4 pound bag, sorting and washing, drying, and storing them. Black beans are fabulous for food and baking! I sub in a pint of cooked black beans for eggs and milk, adding a little oil for brownie mixes. No one can tell, honestly! And it adds a little fiber and protein. You just have to blend the cooked beans really, really well.
