I like the fruit/veggie complex aspect which is why I got them. They smell pretty bad, and the smell is very strong, yes, but I expected this. They are also very large, but no larger than prescription prenatal vitamins, if you've ever taken those you can get these down. Once swallowed they don't have any kind of lingering taste, aftertaste, or taste if you burp, etc. I do seem to have more energy when I take these (in a natural way, not the type from caffeine or energy drinks), and I've lost some weight, which is weird because they are in no way advertised or solicited as a weight loss supplement. They have doubled in price since I started buying them 2 years ago, though, which is disconcerting. Oh, and FYI they make your pee bright yellow.

I have been really tired lately, and depressed, and generally crappy feeling. In speaking to my therapist about my eating habits, and how I know my diet isn't balanced, she suggested a multivitamin. I dismissed the idea because I've taken vitamins before and never really noticed a huge difference in how they made me feel. I was telling a good friend who is health conscious about this and she said the big difference is to make sure the vitamins are whole food. I had no idea. So I came on Amazon just to browse and found that this product isn't just affordable, but also pretty much exactly what I was looking for, so I bought it on a whim. I'm SO GLAD I did! It's like the bump of cocaine I need in the morning! Better than coffee! I used to do Shakeology, which I loved, and this product is similar in how it makes me feel. Just... better! So much so that the serving size is 3 tablets so I was taking one in the morning and one at night to start and found I was having trouble sleeping... so I just dropped down to one a day until my body gets more used to the feeling of having proper nutrients and energy and then I'll step back up to two. If you're researching a multi vitamin this one is amazing. It's totally different than the store bought supplements I'd taken in the past. This and a probiotic and I feel GREAT! I highly recommend it!

These vitamins land on a number of lists from reputed sources as vitamins that actually are good for you. That's how I found them. If you're new to daily vitamins (or haven't had one since your Flintstones vitamins as a kid), you may have some of the struggles I had. First off, these things are NASTY! Die-hard health nuts who suck oil out of freshly caught fish may tell you otherwise, but for the regular person with a normal gag reflex, these are gross. It doesn't help that they're huge. Again, that's relative, but they are by far the biggest pill I've tackled and the recommended daily dose is 3 pills! I had to make sure I'd eaten food before or at least with these, otherwise I felt nauseous. Once, I took these without food right before an intense bike ride. By the time I reached my destination, I spent 10 minutes dry-heaving in the bathroom. With all that said, you're probably wondering why I still take these. Firstly, because they seem to improve my energy and help me feel better. Since I'm certainly missing important nutrients in my diet, it's comforting to fill in the gaps with these. I was very skeptical about the energy boost claims and tried to treat the vitamins as though they were merely a placebo with no real impact. I couldn't keep up my denial though. I felt better when I took these than when I didn't and since I need energy, but don't want to use caffeine, these make sense. Also, as gross as they are, I've gotten used to them and they don't bother me anymore. I say give them a try, but take them with food and drink them with milk to mask the taste.
