Do not know why so a few folks have problems with the power button placement on this case. I suspect that they may be hurrying to get the case on and therefore it is not seated in the correct position. I have been using this daily for over 60 days and it is a GREAT fitting and functioning case. The only thing (Durability?) I would tell folks to be aware of is try to avoid attempting to "slide" and force the built-in stand to a different angle = there are two rubber inset pieces that can slide off/out of position and possibly get misplaced. I would say to lift the stand from a surface and then do your angle adjustment with you hand. Great case, Very good value!

I've ordered so many things for the Surface Pro X. This product was the first thing that came labeled as meant for the X and actually was. I didn't have to return it and get a different version or from somewhere else. No, this is exactly what it says it is. Besides being what it says it is, it's also very high quality. Pros: Durable hard plastic in the places it needs to be Soft flexible plastic in the places it needs to be Velcro hand is made very well and has a wide range of hands sizes it accommodates for Cons: Iffy with screen protectors. I recommend putting the case on first AND THEN putting the screen protector on after. The case will otherwise push up and bubble or peel the protector. (Which just shows how snug and in there your X is) A personal thing I wish that would make this even better is if the handle rotator part was removable. Not necessary, but would be very helpful. All in all amazing product and I've been so happy with it since I got it!

First of all, I am up doing a bunch of reviews because I can’t sleep. Amazon keeps suggesting that I mention “thickness” of every product I review, which I think is hilarious. I think Amazon is a little obsessed with the thickness of things. Anyway, I ended up buying a used version of this case for about $25 and it is working just like a brand new one. The cover over the power button doesn’t shut it off for me. Maybe some people are putting it on in a way that causes that to happen? Maybe there is a defect on some of the cases? Who knows? The part where you clip in the pen on top is a little weird but I use that to clip a book light on. I set it on top of a riser stand when I’m home. I am happy with mine and that is that.

The case is made of pretty thick plastic and appears to be well-made. The case fit easily and looks great when paired with the keyboard. It's very lightweight. So the bads, it's very accurate fitting to the point where applying a screen protector on afterwards is extremely difficult (in the way for mine [Spigen]). When applying it before putting it in the case, the corners will bubble due to the pressure applied from each edge. I used pliers to raise the lip a bit to prevent the bubbling and pulled the corners over the screen protector. Another issue: When using the volume notches (up/down), if my finger isn't at the very bottom of the volume notch it may sometimes increase it due to hitting the volume increase (around the center of the Surface single volume button). My fix is hitting just the bottom corner of the notch but even then it's only 90% reliable as it may increase sometimes. Could this be a result of my slight alteration? I don't think so as the power button and volume buttons line up perfectly but take this portion of the review with a grain of salt.

I'm not going to drop this with my Pro X in it to test....ill trust it will do its job. This unit fits nicely around my Surface Pro X. The hand insert on the back is a nice feature! The strap for shoulder carry is a bit cumbersome. I wish the strap had a quick release for detach but it does not, yet. All in all I am HAPPY with my purchase. It also give my Pro X character! Kind of a tough rugged look! I have access to all my ports too! Just be careful when adding your keyboard after you install the screen into the unit. The magnets on the key board catch before properly attached. Also, the magnets on the back rest picket up my SIM adapter on my desk and I thought I lost it so be careful around other objects! I like the pen holder on the top! The engeneers really did good!

This makes for good protection for the Surface Pro X. Have had 2 out of 30 that the back kick stand broke at the hinge. Not sure why users had issue. Fits well and makes it easy to carry.

UPDATE 5/22/2020: I reached out to UAG to complain about the power button issues and they said 3rd party sellers were selling bad cases and assured me their products on their site was 100% perfect so I ordered this same case through their website and recieved it today. Absolutely Perfect Alignment on the Power Button but the Pen holder on the top is not really made for the new "Slim" pen. I love this case now and glad UAG has the real one on their web site. Old Review: I bought this for my Surface Pro X as I've always had good protection with other UAG Covers. Apparently UAG did not have a working Surface Pro X tablet to get the button placements right when they were designing this case but as many other reviews have stated, the Power Button alignment is off and does not work properly. I've seen where others have cut-away the power button to make it work but we shouldn't have to cut things away to fix a design flaw. Also, the pen holder on the top is not designed for the Surface Pro X Slim Pen so do not even try to make that work either. As for durability, easy to hold etc., it is as I would expect from UAG. This case has a major design flaw and I am returning it for a refund. My next question is for Amazon, after all these same comments about the power button not aligning properly, by other buyers, why are you still selling this product instead of making UAG fix the problem? This tells me that you are more interested in making money than ensuring the products you sell are quality products - Shame on Amazon.

Bought this for my Surface Pro X. As other peaple have already stated the case causing a major problem with the power button. It places pressure on the button to such a degree that just brushing the case causing your tablet to go into a reboot cycle. Not good. Second problem is the kick stand at the back. The stand is not strong enough to support the tablet when you want to wrok beyond the 45 degree angle (the built in stand on the tablet is more than capable of this). Overall A very dissapointing purchase that was sent back for a refund the same day I got it.

It's done it's job pretty well It's the best

Like is : Build and Material Quality is Good, really Good Rugged version. High Quality material Dislike : The Opening for Powe button is not properly placed, hence even holding the outer cover of the case causing device to turn off, really disturbing. : Back Stand is not standing strongly, if the steep is too much the device fall flat.
