Solid label maker
I finally came to my senses and decided I need to label the spaghetti jungle of cables for multiple computers and devices. The points I like are that you can choose a vert/horz printing and the ability to make flags. It is quite simple to use but has more features than I will probably use. I do like the option that there are commonly used symbols available. I also like the availability of types of label tapes they had. I liked that they have the option to print wire shrink wrap and the nylon type to allow for usage on not totally flat surfaces.I do however wish I got the power adapter right away (not included but wish it was). I do like the flexibility but six AA batteries is too many to dedicate to this item. I don't use it enough to leave batteries in there. I would be worried if the batteries would leak if I don't use it for a long time.I also wished it managed the tape a little better. I have used a Brother's label maker from work and it wastes a lot more. One thing you can do to reduce the tape used is if you are going to print a couple labels of the same text, just increase the number of copies on the Rhino3000 instead of printing them individually. This will use up less tape. I am going off memory but it seems like the device has to have about 1/4" at the start and end of a print job. It is nice because the device will print a handy line for the copies to give you a reference where to cut the multiple copies.

If you do anything beyond labeling you home entertainment system do not buy this!
I followed the recommendations of a few other owners and thought this would suit my needs. I wanted to label my coms rack with wire wrap labels so that everything could be traced easily. Here are my gripes:1. Cannot use 1" wide or larger tape. If I wanted to put in Data1 it will print a 2" length of label with about a 1/2 inch of wasted tape on either side. You cannot make label length less than 1.5". Labeling one 48 port switch with the minimum size labels (D1 for data 1) left me looking for a new roll of labels when accounting for how many were screwed up by the faulty label cutter. This makes for unneeded waste and was a huge time sink.2. Cannot Serialize a letter and number to increment sequentially. Only able to serialize letters or numbers.3. The cutter is not automatic (I knew this before). But it also does not cut right meaning it will require numerous reprints depending on how badly mangled the label is.4. Eats up the batteries faster than I expected. I used a better model with built in rechargeable batteries and it lasted much longer. For something that is supposed to save time and look professional I would go for a higher-end labeler that can do 1" wide or wider labels. If you are just labeling a few cables (10-15) and need labels that will stick this will work for you. If you work in LVCC, Networking or IT look elsewhere.

Good for cables
I've had this a couple months now and use it as an electronics technician. It's great for labeling cables with the nylon tape- something other labelers can't do.My biggest disappointment was discovering that the smallest increment in the panel mode is 1.5", making it completely useless for ethernet patch panels. Stepping up to the 5000 gets you .5" spacing, which is workable on some panels.Overall though, it's a good unit and serves it's purpose as a basic labeler.

Label Maker
I bought this to label cords from my stereo and satellite systems. Works great no matter what the diameter of wire I need to put a name to. Need to know how to read instructions, but that wasn't too difficult.

Dymo Rhino Label Printer
The label printer is handy and compact but has a flaw.Whenever I print sometimes there is a black line thru the middle of the tape.

It really works!!
I have been wiring my house with multimedia cable and using the standard tape labelers. Unfortunately the tape would always peel off the wires. Not so with the Rhino and it's heavy duty tape! Work fabulous and the price was awesome! Thanks!

Great Price And A Great Label Maker
I have only had this label maker for a week but I love it. I almost bought this from another vendor for almost twice as much.
