Iowa Birds: A Folding Pocket Guide to Familiar Species (Wildlife and Nature Identification) Pamphlet – January 15, 2016

My daughter and I just moved to Iowa and we put out a bird feeder that was attracting quite a few birds. With the help of this guide we have identified several different birds!

have ordered many of these and I love them. Easy to carry and use in the field!

I liked the guide, its format, and everything, except for one thing...the pictures of the birds used to identify species are paintings or drawings rather than photographs and are not easily used for identification of species such as House Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Song Sparrow, White Throated Sparrow, White Crowned Sparrow...they all look quite similar in the wild...my only complaint, but it’s a big one.

I bought this so I could ID birds with my granddaughter. My daughter and son in-law have bird feeders and lots of birds to see.
