101 Great Science Experiments Paperback – April 3, 2006

Nice pictures and so many ideas. Cool experiments.

This book has a lot of fun experiments and projects that get my 5 year old son very excited. However, some projects require special supplies that we don’t have in the house. To build the banjo, I had to go to 4 different stores (Michael’s, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and Ralphs) to get the necessary items: paint, gloss, glue, colored duct tape, tacks, eyelet screws, an oversized balloon, wooden planks, fishing line, and a plastic tub. In the end, the banjo didn’t even work well. It was more decorative than anything else.

Good book

Every single time I visit my sister my 8 year old nephew tells me about science experiments he was participating in and did at school with such excitement and joy that I decided to buy this book for him. My nephew was thrilled when he received it and that makes me happy.This is an excellent book with lots of good ideas, clearly illustrated experiments, instructions are easy to follow and what's importantly cheap to do. Some of them a bit hard for his age but the ones he had done by himself or with the help of an adult were fun.My nephew told about this book to his classmates and some of the kids parents were asking my sister where she bought it lolBuy with confidence. You will not be disappointed.

I like the ideas in this book. I can’t wait to use this with my son .

You should have looked at their faces when we opened the book and started on some science projects. Both my grandchildren Jaden 6 and Lavinder 8 displayed a face of amazement. You could see the opening of their hearts and minds as they said "wow" in an amazing voice. Now, after two weeks of science projects, they are showing more willingness and drive to develop their reading, spelling and math skills too. I attribute all this to the science book we purchased from Amazon.

Loved this book. Appreciate the pictures as it draws in kids’ attention and they can see what comes next. I bought this book as a present for kids 5-9yrs old and they all loved it. Their parents loved it too as they were running out of ideas keeping their kids engaged at home!

Brought this to help give very basic science lessons to a child. The book is full of good ideas, clearly illustrated and easy to follow for child and adult. What's more there are down to earth explanations which mean the child will learn something rather than just messing about. When DK do this kind of book well, they do it really well; this book is a credit to the editors. Recommended.

Hi,I thought about a nice book for my friend's son for birthday as a present.(I normally send a book from reading list), but then realised that my friend's kids are not too keen on books anymore...during lockdown..thought great thing to do at home...in thier own garden with your siblings, this is not so taxing as reading or watching or learning science, ordering expensive material (online stem leaning acitvity items), to learn science fun way..easy to do ..I am satisfied of what sent after reading index -activities woudl teach, Air, Sound, Water, gas, lot more ...science MUST BUY...during Lockdown or summer holiday.. to learn science K2, K3 level

The experiments are doable, very well explained, in my opinion suitable for children 8+.There's always something to learn even for the parents.

Got this for our niece as an 8th birthday present. Had a flick through so we could also get some of the bits she would need to the science experiments. A lot of the items are things that are generally found around the house or easily and cheaply available. Great for anyone who is excited about science and having fun as a family

Bought this for my 9 year old great nephew. I looked through it first and found it to have loads of different experiments he could try by using easily available everyday things. A good learning resource for him. Overall I think it's a good buy for the price.
