Gloves purchased as replacements for similar pair purchased about 25 years ago or so. The construction of these gloves corresponds with the previous gloves MIL-Spec as far as I can tell, although the Nomex material itself seems a bit lighter / thinner and the leather seems to be somewhat thinner as well (these differences could possible be due to a change in material or not quiet adhering to the specifications). Other than that, the size is accurate based on how to determine proper glove size using the distance over knuckles and palm.

Lookin' gooooooood
I wanted some leather gloves to go with my leather jacket-thing. This is totally not what I was originally thinking of when I thought "leather gloves", considering the main thing about these gloves is the fact that they are fire resistant and stuff. In any case, they are cool, and make great driving gloves. I have never been a fan of thick gloves, and the relative freedom of finger movement is quite nice.My only real complaint is that I kinda had to modify them for them to actually be comfortable. If you look in the picture you'll notice on the wrist there's the zig-zag line hemming it in. While common, I didn't like the elastic on the other side of that line scratching at my wrist. Also, Hank's Surplus has a really annoying scratchy TAG as well. A few passes with a seam ripper cleared up those problems; I hope the stitching on the seams is as good as the stitching on the tag. Also, my thumb has a little less range of motion than I would like; I mean, yeah, it's made for holding a gun, but I like to do other stuff, too, you know?Other than those things, these gloves are good.

An Opportunity for Someone
This is more of an indictment of this style of glove, than the vendor. I've been using this style of gloves for decades. Yet, noone... I mean no one... has come up with a pair than can survive a first deployment nor first washing. This is an opportunity for someone to come up with a better solution.

Flimsy gloves
These gloves are softer than others of similar type, which in this case, I don't mind, since they won't be used as work gloves. However, if the tougher palm of gloves from other manufacturers is important to you, don't get these. Also, two VERY UNCOMFORTABLE scratchy tags are sewn into an interior seam of these gloves. One is paper and the other is cloth with melted edges, and both irritate the skin. They are difficult to completely remove. Plan to carefully cut out the tags if you buy a pair of these.UPDATE: The softer material in these gloves has turned out to be their undoing. The gloves felt great, but the palm tore after being tugged on by a five year old. So if you buy these, treat them VERY carefully.

Fantastic glove
"These gloves offer dexterity but also protection while soldering my stained glass projects. When I use flux, I cover my new gloves with a disposable pair of nitriles because I don't want the flux to hurt my gloves, they are that perfect. Thin and not bulky. Comfortable. And so reasonably priced, really, thought they would be a LOT more. Thanks again Hanks!"
