Best controller around
I love these I've used one ever since the Belkin Nostromo, then Razer started to make them changing the name to Tartarus. This little keyboard makes gaming so fast with all the buttons under one hand, I think the build quality has suffered a bit over the years but having said that it's still a sturdy nice looking bit of kit with RGB lights if you want them.

Excellent (but you need to know)
It is honestly Fantastic, customisable, comfortable. If you are one handed keyboard person like myself, you will love this. However, here is what you need to know. It acts a gamepad input and so certain games will think it’s a controller. What does that mean ? Any games that you use a controller for will now have to choose between it and your controller and it can cause issues. Some games will use mouse still but change the keyboard input so you are playing with a weird hybrid split. Basically a bunch of game issues in terms of controls.Never fear you can solve all of this by disabling the in game controller function from its properties. This will cause it to stop functioning as a gamepad and only as a keyboard. This means you loose joystick functionality but can still map everything you need.I didn’t know any of this before buying and thought I had wasted my money. Now it’s all sorted, I would recommend this 100%

A very handy extra for those MMOs and Apps with more far too many crucial key bindings.
Particularly worth it when you can snag one at a significant discount. Not just a bunch of extra keys, a great way to avoid having to remember, and execute loads of absurdly complicated key bindings. Just assign each button to do the whole 3 or more button press mash and you are good to go.Also allows for remembering specific key binding sets for whichever application you currently have open, and will change them automatically. Additionally the Pro version uses analogue keys which allow you to assign two functions to each key, a light press executes one function, pressing all the way - another. the thresholds for triggering the buttons is also adjustable. So all in quite nice to use.Only slightly meh factor is the software for editing it is bloated with all sorts of nonsense and the layout can be moderately confusing to start with, once you've got your head around it and set everything as you like it, you don't generally need to open it up all that often. One of Razer's better products, and the only one I own. Loses 1 star for yet another example of somewhat messy, clunky editor software, and when not on sale being expensive enough that you'll often find it hard to justify next to the price of decent, fully featured keyboards. That said, I still like it :)

Functional keypad for gaming
I bought this as I was looking at keypads for years. I hesitated as I thought I was being frivelous, and now that I have splashed on it, I regret not buying it earlier! This keypad has changed to speed at which I can select functions in game (I play Eve online), I believe it gives me an edge as I dont have to look across a keyboard to select a function. This also becomes especially evident when I have to use more than one key binding, such as ctrl + Space. The only thing that I wish I had changed about my order, is having spent extra on the analogue version, which I feel I dont need. However, maybe one day I will work out how to get the best of that feature.Excellent ergonomic feel, no pain in wrist. Easy to program interface and key mapping.Very Highly recommended.

Razer Tartarus Pro - Absolutely Terrible
I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with the Razer Tartarus Pro. Honestly, this is one of the worst gaming peripherals I’ve ever had the misfortune to use.First off, setting it up was an absolute nightmare. The instructions were unclear, and it took far longer than it should have to get it up and running. Once it was finally set up, I was greeted with the disappointing realisation that the experience was just as frustrating as the setup process. The build quality feels cheap and flimsy – certainly not what you’d expect from a brand like Razer. The keys are unresponsive, and the overall feel is very poor. It doesn’t offer the premium experience that the price tag suggests. Every press feels dull, and the feedback is almost nonexistent, making it difficult to type or game effectively. Most frustrating of all, it simply doesn’t add any value. If you already have a decent keyboard, do yourself a favour and stick with it. The Tartarus Pro offers no improvements or unique features that make it worth the investment. In fact, it feels like a downgrade compared to what you probably already have.Overall, I regret purchasing this device. It’s just not worth it. Save your money and look for something better. Razer should be embarrassed by this product.

Excellent Updated Version
I've used these game pads since they were made by Belkin, called the Nostromo. I've always liked the design. I don't want to be bashing up my keyboard when I play, plus I only need certain keys to play, not a full keyboard. I decided to try this latest version in the hope that the clacking of the keys might be quieter, as my wife hates hearing me bash the keyboard - playing Call of Duty multiplayer. It is quieter, but not silent. The key presses definitely don't have the same mechanical clack on each press. I like it. I still have the older one, which I'll save as a spare. A great product imo. Not cheap, but its very well made.

Not for me (refunded)
The product itself seems like an ideal solution for gamers who hate full sized or even 60% keyboards.Construction feels solid with disappointing plastics, but generally overall the build was as I say, solid.I unfortunately had to return it however, as I just could not get used to the feeling of it. It feels like my fingers were arched more and almost more restricted. Due to the layout of the keys, I kept misclicking keys and overall it just wasn’t for me.I think it may be a better fit for someone with longer and skinnier fingers as you can literally customise every key to your needs and seems to be a good piece of kit, albeit a little overpriced.
