Black Fairy Tales: A Coloring and Activity Book

It's a coloring book so it's not colored on the inside. I liked that the princesses had braids or pony tails or afros. They look like my niece. The features are African American so that is a huge plus. The joy this is that any child can color in it; black, white, Asian, etc. and they can choose whatever skin tone they wish the big differences here are the facial features and hair styles which can show non-African American children other facial features they usually do not see.The "Tales" themselves are non-existent this is strictly a coloring book with characters who are from our fav childhood stories.Overall it's a cute introductory book to something different for children to color.

I purchased Naturally Me and Black Fairy Tales for my grandkids. They are 5 and 2 yrs old and are already learning to read.The large ,colorful and poignant illustrations in the books are enjoyable to see and the stories are easy to understand for early readers.I don't know who enjoys your books more, me or my grandkids.I am about to order more, so that your Naturally Me series can be a major part of their library. Thanx.

I liked this book because I am an educator and professor of Early Childhood Education, who can use this coloring book as a teaching to my students who desire to become owners or teachers in early childhood centers.

I liked the concept of a Black Fairy Tales coloring book. The only issue I had was that it was thinner than I expected. It covers all of the primary fairy tales. We are exploring the fairy tales BEFORE coloring. This allows for discussions about the lessons each fairy tales teaches, as well as discussions regarding why the characters can look how you want them to look. It's a great opportunity to discuss differences in cultures as well as enjoying spend quality time making & building memories.

I love the stories included in the book and the different hairstyles for my niece to color! The book had a nice amount of pages and I can't wait to give it to her for her birthday!

The images are beautiful but the book itself is thin. Its not worth the price

Not just a colouring book but a story book that introduces black children to characters that look like them.

My children absolutely love all of the books. Their faces just light up when they turn the page and see characters that look just like them.

I think this is such an excellent colouring book...it helps children of colour to see themselves around them...a reminder of their presence and beauty....

Nice concept. I purchased this for a 4 year old but I think it's more suited for older children as the detail of the images are quite intricate. Another version for younger children with larger drawings is better I think. But still a nice book.
