Made a challenging situation much easier!
We had two pieces of art that were designed to be hung right next to each other to appear as one piece. Originally we tried hanging them individually but it was extremely challenging to get the pieces exactly level. Even 1/8th off was very noticeable. I ordered this cleat and cut off 12 inches with a hacksaw to fit the frame. We bracketed the two pieces of art together, then attached the cleat across the top. Mounting the other cleat on the wall and making sure it was level was WAY easier than 4 individual mounting points we had tried before. We didn't use every screw hole, obviously, but we used enough that we felt it was 100% secure. It was easy to lift on and off and feels solid as a rock.

Solved my workspace issues for my art room!
Great product! Easy to install and good quality! You use your own screws for mounting it to the wall. I installed two of these rails and then purchased the z clips and this solved my workspace problems for my art studio. I had difficulty finding places to put my wet paintings and work in progress and thanks to these rails, I am able to store all my wet paintings on the wall in my studio. It turned my wall into a wall easel/storage area.

The 1" spacing of the holes makes it impossible not to find the studs in your walls. Works great.
Clip is about 1.14" in height each. They're not particularly 'heavy duty', rather just a little thicker than say a metal door transition/threshold. You could bend it easily if you wanted to - however, with 6ft in length and holes every inch you'll be very secure. I have an 8ft by ~3ft wooden sign approx 70lbs mounted across multiple studs. Was sturdy enough I felt like I could practically hang on the cleat I screwed into the wall if I wanted to... wouldn't try that lol. I weigh a bit more than the sign I put up.Anyway, while these are not necessarily the 'thickest' cleats, they will definitely work for a job like this. See picture. The 1" spacing of the holes makes it impossible not to find the studs in your walls. Works great.R

Great For Hanging Long Photographs Securely
I'm a photographer who enlarges photographs, therefore, need a secure method of support and a secure method for hanging them. Orange Aluminum is the perfect solution! Very easy to cut with the right metal cutting blade on table saw. Small wall screw inserts were used to fasten the French cleat (Orange Alum.) to the wall. Small screws (3/4") used to secure other half of mounting bracket to frame of photograph. A long level was used to draw line on wall, brackets were attached to line, which lined up with brackets on photograph. Picture now hangs perfectly level and SECURE!!!!

Love it! Heavy duty
These are VERY strong. If you look at my image, I have a custom backboard for my desk which is a 2ftx1.5inx6ft butcher block counter top (with mosaic texture over it). This block is very heavy like 75 lbs by itself. On top of that I have a 49" monitor mounted to the backboard which is also very heavy. All of that is held up by two rows of these French cleats. No shaking, no tilting, no ripping it out of my wall (drilled into studs and some drywall in between for more support).

Good quality, sturdy, easy to use and shipped fast
The Z-hanger arrived quickly, was well packaged, is exactly as described in the listing and is good quality. I especially like the 1-inch hole spacing because that makes it easy to attached the hanger pieces both to the frame of the mirrors I'm hanging and also to the studs within the wall. It's unlikely that you'd need to drill holes in the hanger pieces for custom spacing. The hanger is plenty sturdy for hanging heavy items and yet has a low profile.

If you have cupboards to hang this is well worth the investment
I wanted to hang three new cabinets in a new condo and looked for an easy way to do this by myself. These are very low profile and allows one to have the cabinets hanging within about an 1/8" from the wall. Mount one piece on the wall into studs and mount the other piece onto the top of the cabinet you want to hang. Then you simply lift it on, move it left or right as you wish and you are done. I did add 4 screws to more securely attach cabinets to the wall but in all honesty I don't think you need them, gravity holds everything in place very easily.

Easy to use and strong.
I needed to hang a antique wooden cabinet on the wall and this worked perfectly. It has a low profile so the cabinet is close to the wall. It allows some horizontal adjustment between the two pieces for centering made easy. It holds a lot of weight so no fear of it falling off the wall, and it is simple to install with a level.
