I don’t often write a review, but want to share how pleased I am with this coffee percolator.Firstly, everything is very easy access, clean and fill.I bought this machine for its timer option, which even for a technophobe like me, is really easy to set.My son gets up for work at 3.30am each morning, so knowing a steaming hot pot of coffee is waiting for him in the kitchen, I hope makes getting up that tiny bit easier. And it does make a steaming hot pot of coffee!I’m writing this review at 9.30am and have just poured a cup from the thermos jug the coffee filters into. While the coffee is no longer steaming, it was certainly still warm enough to drink.So for a delicious hot cup of coffee, a simple to use and set, elegant and very functional coffeemaker that doesn’t require those dreadful pods (which are appalling for the environment!), is good value and has the benefit of a really well insulated jug, I would highly recommend this coffee machine.Thank you Melitta 🌷

My old one broke and I like coffee machines that keep drinks hot with a flask rather than a hot plate. The old one was the same principle and was over 10 years old so owed us nothing.Like the way you can fill the water container itself from the tap as it comes off, decent handle on it too as its heavy when full.Makes a nice coffee ( obviously you need to buy decent filter coffee ) and keeps it hot for a good few hours without stewing it. Easy to clean and looks nice too.Timer function but we dont use that, just set it going when we get up. Coffee still drinkable at lunchtime.

After 18 months can confirm this has been an excellent purchase. Easy to use and delivers good results, in reasonable time. After a few decades and several different filter machines and a long period using cafetières, this is the best we have had. The quality of the coffee you put in comes through. This model (with or without timer) was one of only two recommended by a consumer magazine, and the other cost many hundreds of pounds, so good value.It does the job without fuss - easy to fill and run, keep-warm function handily cuts off so no baked-on coffee to deal with. Other machines frequently spat on the hot plate but this one does not drip, provided you wait until it has stopped processing. We use compostable paper filters so easy to clean up after.We have hardly used the timer function so would not bother if buying again.A good choice,

After my 15 year old machine finally gave up the ghost, I researched filter coffee machines till I was blue in the face: there are so very many to choose from and pros and cons for them all. I eventually decided on a Melitta, as I wanted to try the original German version of a filter coffee machine and to try paper filters instead of mesh. I'm pleased with my purchase. The machine is easy to set up and use. It makes coffee quickly and keeps it very hot, which was important for me. The machine is pre-set to keep coffee hot for 40 minutes, but you can easily change the setting to 20 or 60 minutes, and if it goes off before you're ready you can switch it on again immediately. The machine looks really good and the pot is a lovely shape and pours without dripping. The pot, lid and swivel filter case can go in the dishwasher, another plus point for me. The only reason I have not given it five stars is because I like strong coffee and to start off, I thought the coffee was a bit weak. Now, I put an extra spoonful in the filter and am happy with the result. I do think the paper filters give a better, more mellow flavour than the mesh filter on my old machine. Overall, I am pleased with the Melitta machine, I think it's good value for money, and I would recommend it.

Purchased beginning of July 2022, and have used it everyday since, often running multiple times a day.Timer function is really handy, and really easy to set up and change (you have an hour and minute button, so putting it back less than an hour is a bit of a pain).You can put any amount of water in the tank and it will make that much coffee. However making less than half a pot is a really inefficient use of coffee grounds so wouldn’t recommend if you want to make small amounts at a time.The thermos pot keeps it hot for at least 4 hours (6 if you don’t mind luke warm coffee).Fairly easy to clean, as most parts can be removed. The pot can be a bit fiddly to hand wash due to the rim.All in all, a really decent coffee machine for the price. Compared to a family member’s $200 US Ninja machine, I notice 0 difference in taste using the same coffee grounds.

I bought this after some scammer fake sold a Mr Coffee and ended up in a refund. It is just as good and decent quality. nice and easy to refill and empty the filter case.The timer function at first takes a couple tests but got there with a couple attempts. now I have a guaranteed morning brew waiting. It is also very quiet when brewing and it brews fast. If you wish to pour a cup mid brew it'll pause in my experience (or I got extremely lucky).I would happily buy this brand and model again.

This is my second Melitta coffee maker, it makes a really good cup of coffee. Thermal jug keeps coffee hot for a while, but we usually just make enough coffee for our needs.I would like to point out that this is a heavy jug when even a small amount of made coffee has been made and you need to press down on a lever to pour the coffee out, so it may not be suitable for the elderly.
